Chapter 98: It Wasn't So Hard.
Mena was being a bit dramatic, we merely had to hop from Dimension to Dimension, until we could find a Monster strong enough to be worth killing. Thankfully, Celia asked those we rescued about dangerous, overly powerful Monsters that they knew of. And they did… An historical sea nuisance, of the shark variety.
Xinobouk: “…Can I convince you not to kill me?” He asked with a nervous tone.
Celia: “Well, I guess that depends. I would prefer to get my last required Level asap, and you’d be perfect for that endeavor.” She replied with a thinking pose.
Xinobouk: “Killing a Beast God, an ancient one, which survived through countless resets… all for one single point of EXP? That’s ridiculous!!! And don’t you recall me letting you live all those years ago?…” He replied with an upset and desperate tone.
Everyone else: “…”
This sight was quite odd, to say the least. In the deep, dark ocean, Celia faced off against a giant shark, one far larger than even the biggest Megalodon.
Rather than it being a grand battle, with my wife on the ropes… Xinobouk, apparently someone that Celia knew, was on the defense. If it wasn’t for his age and pride, I’m sure that this shark would likely be begging for his life at the moment…
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Celia: “Damn… I actually do recognize you. Xinobouk, right? Pretty amazing that we meet again after so long, and that I am now more than strong enough to hunt you with ease.” She mused with a laugh.
Xinobouk: “Quite… Celia, there is a Megalodon around this area, but deeper down. I understand your morals, so don’t worry. It is a beast without a mind, stuck in an endless rage, so you killing it would be a mercy.” He informed, before tactfully, but slowly swimming away.
Whoosh!
Like his words were the starting call, we were attacked by the Monster Xinobouk mentioned. It looked completely enraged, and… ah, Celia killed it in one strike. Poor thing…
Xinobouk: “…” “Now that she knows where I live, maybe moving Dimensions is a good idea? No, that’d be an insult. Let’s just hope Celia will forget about me in time…” He inwardly expressed, now fleeing faster, but still in a dignified and honorable manner.
Now Back At Our Home (The Place Home) Estate.
Celia: “So… what do you all want me to do?” She asked with a thinking pose.
Zia: “What do you mean?” She asked in reply with a confused tone.
Zelia: “How unfortunate that Celia and I only get more vague with age. You can have your fun after Evolution, Celia. Just go ahead and tell us what you’re getting at, please.” She lightly pleaded with a sigh.
Celia: “I can Evolve right away, or… we can stop being afraid, and check out my Status first. Honestly, I feel that my Stats will change by a decent amount after Evolving, so I’m curious what they look like right now.” She clarified with a giggle.
Runey: “Do as you please, Celia. We’ve grown too numb to your antics by this point…” She agreed on behalf of the family, face and tone deadpan as can be while she did so.
Celia: “Status!” She exclaimed, excitement clear in her expression, as well as in her tone.
