Chapter 69: One Last Distraction, Of Which We Aren't Responsible For.
Erika had… a weird definition of thirty minutes. Rather, Home was very similar to Heaven. In the sense that it is ridiculously huge, a vast beautiful land, with only one main city.
Both the Empress’s castle, and Runey’s estate were far away from the city. Now I understand why Meri’s accusation was so absurd, making Bale look at her with a bit of disdain and pity. If there was a speed limit in this place, it’d be 1,000,000MPH, as, with a relaxed flying speed, Runey’s estate was a day away!…
Of course, though not around her, we could sense that Runey was fine. So there was no reason for us to rush. And besides, Celia was the one who made Home better, and did the same with the empty areas. So exploring them now, and getting potential ideas, is fun for us.
Celia: “This land is weird…” She said with a thinking pose, looking at the ground.
Vulely: “Eh? What exactly could be strange about it?” I add with a confused tone.
Celia: “Apart from that void, I haven’t ever felt or seen Pure Mana anywhere else. But there is a lot underneath the ground here. Pure Mana, that is.” She clarified with a dangerous smile.
Vulely: “( ’-’ ~)”
Prior to Celia introducing Soul Crystals as the standard currency of Higher Beings, most just bartered or paid in Divinity for things they wanted. Soul Crystals were special in the sense that Celia had full control of the supply, and they had many uses. Technically, Eternanel and Nemu could do the same, but Nemu never did so, and I expect that Eternanel will be the same.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
Control over Pure Mana was required to make them, you see. With Soul Crystals, you can buy things with them, or eat them to gain absurd amounts of EXP. Even the stagnant residents of Home could finally progress in power. That is just how significant Celia’s invention ended up being. And now… I figured out where Celia got the Pure Mana supply.
A Few Hours Later!
Vulely: “…”
Celia: “?”
Vulely: “…”
Celia: “This spot is important, so what is there wrong with me flagging it as my property? I did find it first. Instead of looking at me like that, I should be getting your praise, Vulely.” She said in defense, seeing my silence and funny expression on my face.
In awe, I watched as Celia silently created a large, miles long, warehouse, which only ends at the edges of where the Pure Mana is no longer in the ground. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t the craziest thing that Celia has done. But this will certainly rank high on that list…
Vulely: “Yeah, but you don’t even live in Home yet. Won’t someone just, now that you built a giant warehouse around this land… be interested in stealing it?” I say with an actually concerned tone.
Celia: “They won’t, don’t worry.” She instantly replied, odd confidence in her tone and expression.
Vulely: “After we get Runey, we won’t return to Home for thousands of years, though…” I inform with a very sighful tone.
Celia: “Yes, but that is what the sign is for. Don’t you see it? In proud, artistic lettering, it reads “Runey and Celia’s Private Warehouse!” so no one will dare step foot inside.” She explained with a smug, proud tone, her expression resembling the tone.
Vulely: “(~OAO)”
