Volume 10. Chapter 68: We Just Wished To See Our Vanished Daughter, But (Chapter 969)

Chapter 68: We Just Wished To See Our Vanished Daughter, But We Ended Up In Court!

Meri: “Judge, these are the two criminal scum who’ve I have apprehended!” She proudly shouted, bursting into the courtroom, us following closely behind.

  Celia: “…”

  Vulely: “…”

Judge: “…” “Meri needs a spouse, or more and more people will be brought in, all just to satisfy her need to larp as a Police Marshal… Unfortunately, now that Meri has messed with these two like this, they won’t be willing to tie her down.” She secretly thought, rubbing her head, which was now in pure pain.

As I stole from the judge’s inner words to give to you, Celia and I were apprehended (we willingly followed Meri here, since we didn’t want to cause a scene) while we were flying to Runey’s house. Erika didn’t mention there being a speed limit that Home enforces, which is the crime that Meri is accusing us of committing.

Though, considering how irked the judge looks right now, we can only assume that Meri was trying to convict us on laws that she made up. Ah, and no, we won’t tie the bored woman to us. Celia is my only wife, and she obviously isn’t going to add any more women to her already large harem.

Judge: “You two… I don’t know either of you, nor I have seen you in Home before.” She mused with a thinking pose, doing her best to ignore Meri.

Celia: “Eh? Have you not looked at the news? I thought that everyone would know who I am by now…” She replied with a confused expression.

Meri: “Frankly, the main reason I brought them in… is because they lack any form of identification. Not that Home has a system to give those out, but it is best to be safe and thorough for matters like this.” She added, nonchalantly saying something which would instantly free anyone if an officer of the law said anything close to her words.

The Judge, Celia, and Vulely: “(- _ -)”

Blatant disregard for the nonexistent regulations and laws of Home aside, Meri wasn’t that bad of a person. She was simply bored, and it doesn’t look like this judge has much to do most days. Home is peaceful 99.99% of the time, you see. Ah! I get it now. How silly…

Meri: “Bale, perhaps we should set up some kind of identification system? If two people have made it to Home after so many years… there might be more showing up in the future.” She expressed with an oddly serious tone.

Bale: “Such systems are best for keeping individuals responsible for their actions. Home is safe and happy, but if someone decides to go crazy and destroy this place… no form of identification would really matter.” She denied, before then lecturing the cop larper.

Meri: “…” “Darn, I should have really thought about that before opening my mouth. Now Bale must think that I am stupid!!!…” She exclaimed in her thoughts, though Meri’s mental turmoil didn’t show on her face.

Bale: “As for you two… let me look at the Home Forum. You are… Runey’s mothers?! Don’t worry, there are no charges being levied against you, and you both are absolutely free to go!” She said with a horrified tone, jumping out of her seat, and rushing over to us.

  Meri: “(~OAO)”

Literally Just (The Walk Out Of This Place Was Slow) Ten Minutes Later!

Vulely: “Ah, Bale. I listened to your thoughts. Meri is blatantly, and poorly acting as a cop, since she wishes to be with you, and Meri couldn’t think of a better way to get close to you.” I inform right before she closed the courtroom door, her forced smile turning into a shocked, bright crimson face, satisfying my (new) sick hobby.

Bale was definitely a top, so Meri will be happily bedded by the end of this day, I am quite sure of this. Meri, Meri, you’re welcome for me fixing your childish hang-up. Have fun tonight, fake cop, who will most likely, absolutely end this charade by at least tomorrow! Hehehehehehehe…
