Volume 10. Chapter 67: Not A Very Warm Home... (Chapter 968)

Chapter 67: Not A Very Warm Home...

Home was… home to a very small number of people. From what I remember, there wasn’t more than 5,000 or so Higher Being residing here. And that is counting the ones saved from that reset. As Celia walked the streets, I had been reminded of how poorly styled this place originally was.

Typically, Higher Beings were deeply lazy and selfish beings, so Home, while more perfect than any other place in existence, had some problems. Ignoring the lack of taste, the governance of Home was flawed by default. Which is evident by how easily Runey got the judges to look past the various crimes that she committed…

Celia: “Vulely… why am I being avoided like I’m diseased? Most of these people are at my Evolution, or not far from it. Some are likely even stronger than me…” She outwardly asked, not caring if anyone heard her question.

Vulely: “I think that Runey must have done a bunch of absurd stuff, things she never mentioned to us… or something along those lines. This isn’t a fantasy world, so that guard likely gossiped to everyone. And Home is a tightknit community, so all the residents know of your relation to her.” I answered with a somewhat confident tone.

Celia: “What could she have… no, I truly don’t wish to know. At least the cold shoulders allows us to look for Runey without being disturbed.” She expressed with a deep sigh, rubbing her likely aching head.

This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

Hm? I’m a fuck-up, who doesn’t deserve my job, because I messed up my name? No, no, dear reader, you’re just wrong! And I intentionally kept something from you until now, as I am cheeky, hehehehe…

Anyway, long story short; my past self refused to wake up, saying that she wished to sleep away until we were able to live in Home. Since I was already enforcing my presence in the past so much, it was decided that I should just carry on in her stead, taking a more in-depth role. We just combined, I didn’t kill her, you judgey fools!

Erika: “Celia, are you still looking for Runey?” She asked with a curious tone, flying down, and then standing in front of us.

Celia: “That I am. She left in a hurry a while back, without telling us why did so. We also don’t know where she currently lives, besides her living here in Home.” She honestly replied, not sensing any hostility from Erika.

Vulely: “We checked where she lived in the last timeline, but she was kinda destitute, and hated in that one. Her home, that shack, doesn’t seem to exist at all in this timeline…” I add with a sigh.

Erika: “Eh?… I don’t understand what… Runey’s house is nearly the biggest one around, only second to the Empress’s estate. Appeasing Runey was… our only course of action, you see. You two can just fly that way, and you’ll reach her house in less than thirty minutes, depending on how fast you go.” She was going to ask about what the hell I just said, but wisely chose to not do that, instead instantly shifting her words, and then giving us the information that we’ve been lazily looking for.

Erika, bless her Soul, flew away the next second. She surely had the most puzzled expression on her face, and now understood why Celia and I were Runey’s mothers. I honor you with a wave, Erika! Please go back to your peaceful life, and pretend that I didn’t spout mind shattering knowledge at you just now…
