Volume 10. Chapter 70: Suddenly, The Family Got Even Bigger... (Chapter 971)

Chapter 70: Suddenly, The Family Got Even Bigger...

Sibyl: “Oh, I guess that you two are our mothers-in-law. Runey is upstairs, sleeping with one of her wives.” She nonchalantly informed, before then blowing a (hopefully non-toxic) plum of smoke toward us.

  Celia and Vulely: “…”

Sibyl: “Don’t look so embarrassed, I mean that she is sleeping with one of her wives in a none sexual manner. Though, if it was sexual, it would be them sleeping with her. You get my meaning this time around… yes?” She clarified with a sultry laugh.

  Vulely and Celia: “( ’-’ ~)”

Is this the type of women that Runey likes? Smoking a pipe that you’d see in some fantasy world (honestly looks to be enhanced with Magic), while wearing an OL type outfit, with half-rim-frame glasses. She is… obviously very dominant, and likely is the one who runs Runey’s harem.

Celia: “Will she be sleeping for long? We need her for something very important, but then she can come back once she is done with it.” She asked with a serious tone.

Sibyl: “Runey… that woman is truly motherly. However, I have told her many times that we can take care of the children while she is working. Unlike for most of the time, Runey isn’t listening to me on this…” She replied with a sigh, which was then followed by her taking another hit of her pipe.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Celia: “Kids? What do you mean…” She was cut off.

  Thud!

Before Celia could finish her confused words, three adorable little girls ran into the room. The second they walked in, the woman’s pipe vanished, and now she looks innocent. Eh, at least she doesn’t want the kids to have any bad habits.

Kids… They’re clearly Runey’s blood, which automatically makes them Higher Beings. Those born as Higher Beings… age quite quickly. Though these three look to be all 3 years of age, they couldn’t have been born more than… since the exact time that Runey fled her important position. Well, this does explain why she ran off without saying a thing.

After The Three Girls Were Handed Off To A Different One of Runey’s Wives.

Celia: “…She never mentioned having children before.” She said with a sad tone.

Sibyl: “You shouldn’t feel hurt by this, as it wasn’t like Runey hid her kids from you. Rather, the wives who wished to have offspring of their own, decided to have them all at the same time.” She explained with a coaxing tone.

Vulely: “So… Runey has just been playing the role of mother the entire time?” I mused with a thinking pose.

Sibyl: “That is correct. It was forced on her a bit, but Runey is very happy about the whole thing. Unfortunately, not even I can get her to stop smothering our girls with love and care.” She replied with a nod, tone that of a somewhat fed up woman.

  Celia and Vulely: “…”

We both stayed silent at those words. For me, I was just playing along with my wife. Celia, on the other hand… is the culprit, the one who taught Runey how to properly care for children. So, in a sense, the delay in fixing the System is indirectly caused by Celia’s method of parenting. Now how can we get that new mother to go back to her frustrating job?…
