"What's your Alternative" I asked curiously, as I waited for the leader of the Giants.
"Our time has passed in these caves, and it was faults of us the adults that brokered our decline, our children however had no say in what they born into, they remain in their innocence, so I ask that you take them under your wing, protect them guide them, and they shall make vassals most reliant" The Giant explained, however I was sensing a but somewhere. I didn't know what would happen if I did, was I even allowed? However if I was allowed and did do so, how young were we talking here? My thoughts were interrupted as the King pressed forward.
"However I am not about to place my children under your protection without verifying that you are capable of doing so" the Giant King explained, and it was a reasonable request considering everything.
"How do you plan on doing so?" I asked him.
"By way of battle of course, the plus side is that if you win you become more powerful and can protect our children better!" The King cheered and I had a feeling that I was missing something important to their culture.
"Ah won't that breed resentment with your kids considering I would be killing their parents, aunts, and uncles,?" I asked for clarification as I did not need a bunch of children hating me for killing their parents.
"Oh, I see, we Giants have a tradition of sorts called jfalkvuy, due to how long lived we are in order for our children to inherit they must become stronger then forefathers and prove it by slaying them, and you need not worry all of the children are in middle stages of adolescence." Hkjalk explained, and it was a pretty brutal tradition by modern human standards but overall pretty average when looking through a wider lense of human traditions.
"I see, well their is a bit of a problem, see as you no doubt noticed I have [Geomancy] however I still want to learn from one of you to better improve my abilities" I explained as I needed to flesh out my magic as much as possible, especially considering how many fights I had won solely due to magical advantage.
"Hmm, I see then here's my counter offer, we post pone the battle in order to train you as much as possible and to ease the integration of the younglings with you" Hkjalk offered me and this time I had no major reservations.

Reviewing the offer I found no major pitfalls and so I pressed [Y] on the screen. Hkjalk smiled at me before turning over to the others nodding his head.
"Bring the children here, they must meet he who might become their Lord and Liege" The Giant King explained to his followers. One went off from the group and ran off to the area.
"Kien, Elderessa Bjroga will be in charge of training you in our ways of magic, however before hand—" he was interrupted by a system notification popping up in front of me.

In regards to recent Pact
Heya Kien, some recent S.R(Sapient Resources) training came in so I was a bit busy, however I'm back now! Alright on to business, thankfully you only agreed to take in the Younglings so I can roll them up with the [Fungal Folk] however you have to chose a section of the current location of the Tutorial level as their base of Operations I'll go off where you place this [Flag] which will appear before you, place it around and the nearby area will be counted as their region.

...
Ah, that poor unfortunate soul, I had a feeling that Sapient Resources was not a fun department to deal with. I mused with levying a complaint for shits and giggles but I decided against it. No creature annoying Daemon or otherwise should have to deal with an inter-planar HR.
A small flag appeared in front of me, Hkjalk had paused waiting politely for me to finish.
"Sorry about that I got a message about how this is all supposed to work, essentially I take this flag and I put into the ground and the surrounding area will go with your children" I explained to the Giant King, who asked questions.
"Yes, they won't be able to stay with me, not my rules, however they'll be with my subjects who are loyal to me and will no doubt be safer environment, they'll have food although you should bring your own live stock" I explained to the King who smiled back at me.
"This is even better, if you don't mind we would like to move some of our important landmarks together" Hkjalk asked.
"What do mean move them together?" I asked trying to clarify.
"Well with over a hundred [Geomancers] we can consulate out culturally important landmarks together for the future generations." The Giant clarified.
"Okay well let me know I guess, and before we depart for now is their anything else?" I asked, as I was planning on going and harassing the Yeti.
"Oh yes before I was interrupted by the system I was going to ask you if you mind us repaired the Palace behind you it was built by my forefather the Stone-Fisted King?" Hkjalk asked me.
"Yeah sure knock yourselves out, wait a moment, there is a few things, first off my Divine companion Anastasia, she's a spider and the soldiers you see are her puppets so leave her alone and my forge, also what ever you do, do not go into her laboratory" I fore warned the Giant.
"Got it" The Giant responded before mustering his people, meanwhile I began to move out until I heard an 'ahem'. Turning around I saw an old lady roughly triple my height yet hunched over.
"Hmm, so you are the Slivered-One? I have been told by my whelp of a nephew that I have to teach you [Geomancy] I trust this is correct?" The Old Giantess asked.
"Are you Elderessa Bjroga?" I returned.
"Yes, that is me, I suggest we began right away, I am old and I yearn for the stone-sleep" Bjroga stated.
"What does Stone-sleep mean?" I asked curiously.
"It is an ability that we Giants unlock after passing a certain age, we can turn ourselves into stone and our spirits can linger guiding the next generation until our actual life spans elaspe" the Giantess explained to me before she summoned a chair from the earth.
"Oh, I see well I guess this place is as good as any" I said taking off my helmet.
"Hmph you look like a short darker skinned Giant" the Giantess said, and it was an apt description however it was weird as I was considered rather pale even for a white guy.
"True but compared to you everything is darker in complexion" I responded.
"Everything is relative, even a Giant is short in comparison to a Titan, now let's start, first off as you are not a Giant I must ask how you came across the power initially?" The Giantess asked me.
"I got it from a system title, [Lord of the Earthen Depths]" I explained simply, and the Elderessa nodded.
"Alright, and what would you consider to be the pinnacle of your [Geomancy] abilities?" She asked, no doubt trying to see where I was starting.
"My Psudeo-domain sub-skill" I responded and the Elderessa mouth twitched.
"Haz ha, my Nephew chose well, although Psudeo-domains are rare and I personally knew only one many centuries ago, it upon its self does not prove of mastery, [Geomancy] is the magic of creation can you demonstrate this?" Bjroga asked.
"Okay well let me see here, ah I know" I latched onto to the dense marble deposits and pulled them close refining them, the local deposits seemed to be a deep black, which would look badass for what AI was going to do. Slowly a tall base took shape, 230 feet long and a 100 feet wide. 46 pillars rose up from the base each one slightly wider then me laying down and 34 feet wide. I had to remain basic in the initial design.
I didn't know how long it took me to make a one to one recreation of the Parthenon but it took three quarters of my Mana and gave me a pounding concentration headache. The grandiose structure was simplistic being only a facsimile of the true structure which I hoped was still standing, otherwise the Greeks and historians were going on a killing streak.
"An interesting structure, I can tell you are trying to recreate something, I see what we need to work on" the Elderessa stated.
"And what is that?" I asked curious on what I could learn.
"Speed, tell me how fast can you make a spear of diamond?" She asked me, and honestly I didn't know.
"Let me try" I responded and reaching out I consolidated carbon and put it under intense pressure and heat however the process was terribly slow and impractical.
"Connect to the Conceptual Plains" the Elderessa guided me. Connecting on the The Depths I tried to connect it to the forming diamond spear, it sped up the process but something was missing.
"Stop, I see you are doing things significantly different" Bjroga stated and I halted looking up at the sitting Giantess.
"To utilize mana in relation with [Geomancy] you must connect with a Perceptual Plain, for example making a spear of diamond, connecting to the Conceptual Plain of Diamonds or Jewels will guide your intent and bend the rules of the materials you are working with bypassing the natural processes" the Giantess explained to me, reminding me of school.
"Okay so connect to the plain, use to beef up the action I'm trying to do" I restated.
"If thats the definition that works for you, then yes" Bjroga responded
"Now, again" she stated.
"Alrighty" I said before reaching out this time as I gathered the carbon I connected to the Conceptual Plains of Diamonds, heat, pressure, and change. I figured that it was like a math/chemical equation and needed to have the moving parts necessary.
This time my Mana lept to the task and it formed fully within a minute.
"Too slow you would've died in the attempt, again" the Elderessa demanded.
