Wisdom of the Elderessa

Once again I imbued the power of the conceptual Plains into magic, I tried to speed up the process however if I pushed to hard it would become slippery and I would lose control.

Every time I would get close the Elderessa would provide advice, typically Conceptual Plains that might work. It was like balancing a chemical equation, except you couldn't see the number of each particular Element. Diamonds where made exclusively of carbon, wait a second why was I making a diamond spear?

"Wait a second Elderessa, why am I making diamonds, they are extremely brittle and honestly a pain to make?" I asked and I watched as Bjroga, smiled before chuckling.

"Forgive me, but this is a lesson In critical thinking, if one puts a box in what actions they are capable of then that imagery box becomes all to real" Bjroga explained to me.

"Oh, come on, couldn't you have simply told me that?" I asked exasperatedly.

"Somethings are better to find out yourselves, besides it is funny watching younglings struggle just, a tad mind you but funny nonetheless" the Giantess said chuckling. Taking a breather I looked around and I saw several of the Giants working on the ruins taking large boulders and melding them to the structure at the same time socializing with the younger giants most who looked to be in their preteens.

"Are the children aware, of your sacrifice?" I asked seriously for a moment, and their I saw a seat of deep seeded guilt.

"It it not my sacrifice, but- yes, they are aware, when I was younger in years, I saw no problem with slavery, that changed however, when my body began to age, and slowly I became nearly a prisoner in my own body, however even with the influence and foresight to see the cruelty in our actions I was to weak to force change, it is our peoples price" Bjroga stated somlemly it was their that I saw the stone exoskeleton peeking out. She used [Geomancy] to move around.

"Now enough about this heart-ice talk, back to the lessons, no?" The Elderessa was clearly uncomfortable about the previous topic of conversation.

"Okay, now let's move on to something beyond testing me?" I asked hopefully.

"Well let's see, ah yes let's start, simple easy even, summon summon water from stone" The nearly paradoxical request.

Alright well water required two things, hydrogen and Oxygen, in order to make it, oxygen easy to find, hydrogen not so much however it did exist. Burrowing thin strings of Mana I pulled extracted vast amounts of oxygen and kept it sealed while I reached and it took me some time to find enough pockets of hydrogen compounds in order to extract enough to form it. The next part was technical I was going to pump a bunch of mana tainted with the Conceptual Plain of Change and Combination. The Idea was that the energies would bridge the gap between my end goal and my current abilities.

My senses of what was happening became hazy for a moment before it cleared and lone behold water from stone. Summoning it forth from the depths the water formed a small clear puddle. Looking back at the Elderessa she seems mildly curious.

"You did what was possibly the most convoluted path to the goal, but the most Mana and material efficient, so please tell me, what did you do?" The Elderessa leaned forward as she asked the question.

"Well, back where I come from we discovered the fundamental building blocks of most stuff, called atoms, they are infinitesimally small, take water for example it is made from two Hydrogen atoms and one Oxygen, this forms a molecule that we know as water, molecules are still really small, I hardly doubt I could quantify how many are in this puddle right here, this is important because all I have to do Is separate different compounds containing Oxygen and Hydrogen and with a little Conceptual tainted Mana bada bing batta boom, water!" I explained trying not to over complicate the explanation.

"Interesting, however I surmise that I am missing several parts of pivotal information, so I shall not labor you into further detail, on the other side let me teach how we do it, we sacrifice cost effectiveness in exchange for speed" Bjroga stated.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"Okay, let me guess, something to with conceptual Plains?" I asked guessing, as I formulated a theory.

"Yes, first off take this stone for example" the Elderessa levitated a small stone before continuing.

"I can shift the energies innate to this stone by way of Imbuement with Conceptual Energies we can begin to shift the reality of the rock, for example I can begin to imbue the concept of 'gold' and it will begin to shift, slowly transitioning and shrinking into gold" as she explained I sent my Mana to observe the process and it was odd the very process was obscusfiing what was actually going on. On the flip side though I could tell that no knew mass was added, which is why it 'shrunk' but in reality they were some how breaking apart and reforming the very nucleus of atoms. With all the magical bullshittery that was happening it was possible that these Conceptual Plains actively suspended the laws of Physics.

"Alright let me try again" I said taking a stone I began to flow Mana inside of it, with the conceptual energy of 'Destruction','rebirth', and 'Gold'. I imagined the atoms breaking apart and reforming using the plains as a catalyst. This 'new' method was less cost effective but faster.

"Hmm, good you are improving, however I find myself tiring, we will have to resume later" the Elderessa said after watching me toy around with [Geomancy]

"Of course take your rest I shall be off, lots to do." I said waving off the Elder Giantess as I moved upwards. The Ruins were steadily regaining their former glory. Now I had two options set out before me, I could either prod the Yeti or crush the Ogres. I was fonder of the secondary option as eliminating a potential threat held significantly more tactical advantage.

Deciding to just go with it, I went off to go scramble the troops. Moving up the slope into the ruins proper I collected the troops I would take, roughly half our overall forces in order to stave off the sheer numbers that Ogres were fond of using. The Giant Children watched me in the lull of their time with their families. The Adults had already accepted their fate, something that had happened no doubt a long time ago.

Ignoring them for now, I took my assembled army and began to march in force, towards the last hold out against us. Moving through the Inky black sea we passed ruins of the Ogres settlements ranging from a farmstead of a few families to small towns. Each one was left untouched, some razed to the ground others abandoned by their tenants.

  [Pseudonym Alert!]

You are in the de-Facto territory of the [High Ogres] when inspected your name will be displayed as: [Fjalminar: (Father of Ash)]

  ...

Interesting, dismissing the notification I created over a hill and saw across from it built on another hill, the last stronghold of the [High Ogres.

A mixture of Giant and Ogre architecture weaved a tale of the settlements history. Tall well built walls left to decay and poorly made palisades slowly replacing the wall as it crumbled to neglect. To be fair to Ogres they really hadn't needed to keep up the repairs on them until now, but I suppose it wasn't just human nature to neglect the shield until a sword was at your throat. Now that I had eyes on the settlement I began to plan out the attack. Should we divide and conquer or should we stick together. As I planned out everything, I crafted a plan, one that was flexible, had holes in it just like every plan did but they were accounted for.

The powerful elite would band together with exception of the Puppet commander who would create a thin line of regular puppets and throw down a shield wall that would corral fleeing Ogres. Meanwhile I would fight and kill the elites. In cohesion it should easily break the enemy.

First off though, opening salvo, carving thick chunks of rock I threw seven of them each the size of van at the walled settlement. Then like roaches in a rundown restaurant we skattered into action, the puppets formed their shield wall and the elites and the ogre and yeti puppets bounded down to the enemy.

Sounds of alarm, screams of terror broke out as we descended. Immersing my self into combat I wrecked havoc upon the Ogres.

Evading around their pathetic attempts of attack. As I cleaved through ab ogre with my longsword I heard a gutteral voice speak.

"I am Lieutenant—" with a blast of Mana and will a spear protruded from his torso.

[Flow of Combat] warned me as an attack was coming near me, leaning out of the way I evaded the attack, turning back around I saw large in both dimensions Ogre. This Ogre however was built like a strongman.

Launching forward I struck it upwards, just to meet a ragged shield, it clearly was tore off of something else with the jagged edges worn down. Continuing to press the offensive I weaved around the attacks thrown by the Ogre. At the same time I used the nearby stone work to probe at his weak spots.

"What are you! Fjalminar! Some cursied Spirit? The Dwarfed Giant!" The Ogre spat out as I Sparta kicked his shield mainly for style points. The shield was nocked out of the way. Leaning in close I whispered.

"Neither I am here simply to bring Damnation upon these Caverns" I said as my sword out him to death, or at least I wanted it to appear like I intended to. Really I wanted him to survive long enough to destroy their confidence.

They had something hidden up their piggish sleeves. Pulling back the elites I watched as fires were raging in the outside walls that we had attacked.
