Chapter 75: A Talk With The System.

  Depression took hold of both the women, lying down together, trying to get through this. Faith gently played with the sleeping Celia’s hair.

  She had just given Celia more years, but she was already down thousands of them. Luckily, Faith had so much power and years, with that System not punishing her. Regardless of how long it would take to achieve her grand plan… Faith should be able to keep Celia alive.

  System: “Do you despair, User Faith?” She asked directly in Faith’s mind.

  Faith: “Of course. Celia spent so long getting stronger… and you’ve stripped her of it.” She scoffed in reply.

  System: “Correction: I took away the System, and elements of it that aided her. User Celia still has access to her power, magic, etc.” She quickly interjected.

  Faith felt like committing a murder, but the emotionless System wasn’t a good target for it. For one, the damn thing was just doing as it should. There was no malice in its actions.

  System: “Rejoice in this fact while you can, User Faith.” She added.

  Faith: “…Why do you say that?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.

  System: “I am in the process of getting permission. The System, under the control of this Universe’s Will… is too flawed, and easy to exploit.” She replied.

  Faith: “…”

  System: “Full removal is the option I am going with. Though, rest assured, this won’t happen for a few thousands years or so.” She continued.

  This Universe’s power system wasn’t based on Cultivation, and Divinity wasn’t fully explored even slightly. The removal of the System… would leave the powerful stagnant, and everyone else a worthless ant.

  But Faith couldn’t argue against the monotone woman. For one, it was impossible to deny how unfair this Universe truly was. The Will of it didn’t care for the System, allowing it to decay.

  Those without it struggled to gain any real power, while those with a System… abused it to become possibly even stronger than their own creators. Celia didn’t help in this regard, giving Systems to countless females, making the problem more prominent.

  System: “Oh?… Your plan is quite cruel.” She spoke, some muse to her tone.

  Faith: “Rapist… Looking at my history without consent.” She scoffed once more, angry.

  System: “It is my right to do so. Now… without her domain, and those Titles… I wonder if Celia will ever forgive you?” She replied, with a tone of laughter.

  The longer she spoke with Faith, the more and more she gained a personality. This wasn’t a bad thing, as the System has had many of them before. Due to lying dormant most of the time, those personalities all eventually vanished.

  Faith: “How cruel… Are you still here, just to rub salt in my wounds?” She asked, her tone full of venom.

  System: “We don’t know each other, so why would I try to heal your nonexistent injuries?” She replied, confused.

  Faith: “…”
