Chapter 79: It Was Her Own Bed!
Contrary to what Celia expected, I refused to cheat for her like that again. Or rather, I colluded with Guanyu… She said that, if something horrible happened from this, then Guanyu herself would just use her newfound control over Mana to come back and warn us about it.
Since no future Guanyu appeared to stop us from venturing forth into this dungeon (which was actually entirely made up of ice), we did so without any further worry. Of course, Celia wasn’t aware of our safety net. Guanyu and I did this… so Celia wouldn’t be that reckless in the future, using my ability to her advantage.
Celia: “…Why is it so damn cold?” She asked with a shiver.
Vulely: “We’re literally in a cavern of ice!” I exclaimed with a groan.
Celia: “Yes, yes. That’s true. But how come the temperature in this place is affecting us? I swear, I don’t recall feeling this cold, or even slightly caring about the weather in… many, many years.” She clarified with a thinking pose.
Vulely: “( o_o)”
Damn, she’s right! The weather… doesn’t matter much at all to Higher Beings. With that knowledge, Celia’s question is actually pretty interesting. Our we really going to meet some powerful snake god thing?… I thought that Guanyu was just joking!!!

Guanyu: “As I have said before, this world has many means to affect those of high power. In this case, the cold that we’re feeling… isn’t from the ice. Instead, it is radiating off of that ancient Ice Serpent.” She explained, seeing us both confused.
Celia: “I feel it getting colder and colder the more we walk… Does that mean we’re getting closer to it?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Vulely: “Awa… don’t set such flags like that, Celia!” I add with a scolding tone.
Celia: “Flags? Vulely… you’ve been spending too much time with our kids.” She replied with smug tone.
Vulely: “And who was the one that raised them, who had the most influence over them?” I reply with my arms crossed.
Celia: “Ooooh, that was me… Teehee!” She said with a joking tone and expression.
Vulely: “…”
Guanyu: “…”
A Few Hours Later.
With our comedy routine finished, us three just kept walking and walking. Though the cold was already intense hours ago, now it felt like we were in the middle of a blizzard.
Even still, the depth of this ice dungeon just seemed to keep going. We’ve probably walked miles within it, just going deeper down into the Cultivation earth. It should be noted that… there wasn’t a single Monster here, nor was there a storm around us. It was… just complete silence.
Guanyu: “Strange…” She mused with a thinking pose, stopping her steps.
Celia: “What’s strange?” She asked with a curious tone.
Vulely: “Okay, now you’re just setting flags on fucking purpose!” I say with an angry tone.
Guanyu: “By stepping foot into this lair, we have likely set every flag possible. If that is how one uses such a word in a sentence.” She said with a joking tone and smile, despite her ominous words.
Celia and Vulely: “( ? _ ? )”
