Chapter 32 Little Girl

  Chapter Thirty-Two Little Girl

"Cut! What the hell, Ryan, you're playing a rebellious teenager, not an 18-year-old adult." Cameron stood up from behind the camera, scolding mercilessly. "I don't care how precocious you are! Here, you have to give me the liveliness, rebellion and a bit of cynicism that belongs to your age!"

"I'm so sorry, Jim!" Ryan shook his somewhat exaggerated pompadour and rubbed his cheeks vigorously.

In October, Terminator 2 started filming and Ryan had to ask for leave from school again. In order to avoid unnecessary trouble, he simply let Kim Srey donate a substantial amount of sponsorship to the school in Nicole's name. Money can make ghosts grind, and this is more evident in the country of capital. Afterwards, the school readily agreed to his request.

But this time the shooting was absolutely not a pleasant experience, let alone compared to the party-like "Home Alone", even the atmosphere in the crew of "The Sixth Sense" was much more relaxed than here, and the reason for all this is the director who sat in the director's chair with his goatee shaved off.

The investment for Terminator 2 has now been increased to $90 million, a huge number that is both an honor and a pressure. If it fails, James Cameron will absolutely have no face left in Hollywood. His temper and mood at this time can be imagined.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and he used to get along well, now they have both tucked their tails.

Although Ryan was humble, the director had no intention of letting him off, knowing that this shot had already been NG for over a dozen times and his anger meter was full. "Ryan, I don't care if you're a genius writer or Hollywood's most outstanding child star, now! In Terminator 2, I want you to bring out 200% of your state, The Sixth Sense is in the past tense, if you are still indulging in past achievements, believe me, I will personally hand you over to the heavens!"

"Do you know that, Ryan? Today's you is the worst I've ever seen. If it weren't for that damned Children's Association, I would have thrown you into the sea just now to sober you up." James Cameron's scolding words kept popping out, if he were an ordinary child, he would definitely be cried by him.

"Don't mind him, he's always like that, all business." Arnold Schwarzenegger patted him lightly on the back.

"So that's what they mean by a tyrant on set." Ryan shrugged, how could Cameron not know what he was like on set, he had already mentally prepared himself.

"Scene tyrant?" Schwarzenegger was stunned for a moment, then nodded in agreement, "That's right, this name is too suitable for him."

Isn't this guy's nickname not yet called out? Ryan's mouth twitched, seeing Cameron finally stopped, his expression also returned to normal, and he deliberately let out a sigh, saying, "Jim, I remember there was a shovel in the crew, can you lend me one?"

"What do you want to do with that thing?" The director was puzzled.

"Go dig a hole by the road and bury myself." Ryan spread his hands, with a face full of regret. "I listened to your scolding and felt extremely ashamed. Firstly, I owe an apology to everyone's efforts in the crew. Secondly, I owe an apology to the great American people. Thirdly, I owe an apology to the federal government. I really have no face to see anyone, so it's better to just bury myself."

Everyone in the crew burst out laughing, even James Cameron couldn't help but laugh at this little guy who always managed to find a way to counterattack after being scolded, leaving him speechless.

"Alright, alright, everyone hurry up, we've blocked off this street for half a day already, if we continue on like this someone will come looking for trouble." Mario Casas pointed to a group of people not far away, "Another commercial filming crew is waiting too, if we drag this out any longer they'll rush over and steal our location."

Ryan took the water handed over by the crew assistant, took a sip, sat down silently and thought quietly.

"Ryan." James Cameron walked over, "In my opinion, your understanding of this film is not inferior to mine at all. Do you still remember the analysis of John Connor during the audition? Inner rebellion but not losing innocence and kindness, shouldn't be a problem for you, right?"

Today's shots were not very difficult, but almost all of them showed John Connor's rebellious side, such as arguing with his foster parents, stealing money from an ATM, and recklessly riding a small motorcycle on the street. Compared to the scenes shot in the past few days that required acting skills, these were much simpler.

But no one would have thought that in the previous days' shooting, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton were suppressed by a genius child who couldn't lift his head, suddenly lost his state in front of these simple shots.

Strictly speaking, Ryan cut off most of the memories from his past life into two segments with a single slash. The useful ones were merged into his consciousness in this life, while the useless ones were suppressed to the deepest and darkest place in his heart. As long as he didn't touch them, it was likely that they would be hard to recall for this entire lifetime.

However, when acting in "The Sixth Sense", the heavy atmosphere and the play within a play feeling opened that door, although later got rid of some influences, but that door had a gap.

Now, this quiet contemplation, the scenes of his past life flooded back to his mind again, some things that he had neglected finally returned to his memory. Undoubtedly, this would be of great help for the upcoming shoot. However, as more and more scenes emerged, could his mental state remain calm?

In his consciousness, it seemed like a century had passed, but in reality, it was just the blink of an eye. That neglected desire suddenly became crystal clear.

No! I'm not an ungrateful bastard! Ryan clenched his fists, suppressing those thoughts that could ruin everything once again.

However, after two lifetimes, he still didn't understand a principle: once a seed sprouts, it will inevitably grow into a towering tree.

Although NG is still inevitable, Ryan's condition has clearly started to improve, and some shots have even passed once. Today's progress, which had been delayed for a while, has finally become smoother.

Those scenes of riding a small motorcycle and rushing wildly are mostly side and back shots. This kind of shot with danger will naturally have stunt doubles, even if it's a close-up shot, Ryan only needs to pose.

Two large fans started to whir, the wind blowing straight at Ryan made it hard for him to keep his eyes open, but he still forced himself to keep them open and tried to look natural. On the back seat of the small motorcycle sat another little actor holding a tape recorder, while the motorcycle remained stationary, what was moving was the camera mounted on the sliding track.

Shot with this method and then added post-production, it became a close-up of two rebellious teenagers racing in the movie.

Today's shooting is considered over. Although a lot of time was delayed at the beginning, some were made up later, and it didn't drag on until dark.

Ryan changed clothes and got out of the trailer when another crew filming a commercial had already occupied half of the street.

Standing on the periphery and taking a few glances, Ryan was about to leave when suddenly a little girl darted out from the slanting sunlight and blocked his way.

  "Halt! You... stop right there!"

The little girl was no more than five years old, with rare chestnut-colored hair that curled slightly, and a puffy little face adorned with freckles, looking extremely cute.

Ryan scratched his head, seemingly unfamiliar with her.

"You idiot, NG after NG after NG! I've been waiting until now, do you want me to finish filming the commercial when the sun has already set into the sea?" The little girl's tone was still young and tender, but her sarcasm was not polite at all.

Am I that bad? Ryan subconsciously raised his head, although the sun had already set to the west, it was still hanging high in the sky, and there was still a distance from falling into the sea.

"What's your name? Don't think I'll let you off that easily!" The little girl put on a fierce expression.

Just as Ryan was at a loss for words, a couple emerged from the advertising crew, "Lindsay, it's time to start shooting, go get your makeup done!"

"You can't go!" The middle-aged woman still refused to give in after she picked up the girl.

"Alright! Then I'll go take a look, will this little guy NG when taking pictures?"

Ryan followed the couple, walking past them, and caught a whiff of a faint smell of alcohol coming from the man. Looking at his face again, he noticed that his eyes were sunken, his eyelids drooping, his eye sockets darkened, and the tip of his nose was slightly red, either a drunkard or an alcoholic, or maybe both.

The little girl was shooting an advertisement for children's clothing. It was actually very simple, just changing into a few outfits and flashing a bright smile as she ran down the street.

The girl, compared to children of her age, is indeed outstanding. Except for the time spent on makeup, she finished shooting all the shots including front, side and back within just over 10 minutes without any NGs.

"That's interesting!" Ryan looked very interested.

"What's interesting?" The assistant who came over didn't understand what he said.

"Don't you think this girl is very talented and has great potential?"

The little girl who had changed back into her own clothes walked over, her eyes fixed tightly on Ryan, "You! Tell me how you're going to make up for my time!"

"What do you want me to pay?" Ryan retorted.

"Hmm~" The little girl pinched her own chin, circled around him and turned into a big shot, "Compensate me with two banana boats, and I'll pretend nothing happened today!"

  "Slap!"

A crisp sound came from behind Ryan, and when he turned to look, he saw the couple who should be the little girl's parents arguing with each other. The man slapped the woman in the face, snatched her handbag, got into an old Ford by the side of the road, and sped away.
