Chapter 90 Signing Event 1

Chapter 90: Book Signing Event 1

  "Come on, Christian, let's go."

A sixteen-year-old girl dragged a twelve-year-old girl out of the hotel and hailed a taxi that was already waiting by the roadside.

"Ryder, slow down." The girl named Kristen was carrying too much and almost fell over.

"What the hell, Kristen, what's with that?" Lyle said to the driver as he settled into the taxi. "Take us to Times Square, and step on it."

"Not faster, but with the fastest speed!" Kristen apparently has a more explosive personality.

"What's all this?" Roderick rummaged through the backpack his companion was holding, "He, I Believe I Can Fly, God... This is Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, The Ryan Stories..."

Laila was speechless. "Kristin, we're going to Ryan Jenkins' album release party, not a launch party!"

"Isn't it different?" Kristen shrugged carelessly, "These are all Ryan's works, I must go find him to sign!"

"Are you guys going to Times Square for Ryan Jenkins' book signing?" the driver suddenly spoke up.

"You also know Ryan?" Kristen asked with sparkling eyes, as if it would be a great honor for a middle-aged man to know her idol.

"Of course, now in the US there are a few people who don't know him?" The middle-aged uncle retorted with a smile, "I really like his performance in Terminator 2, and I'm a fan of Jurassic Park, hmm... I Believe I Fly is also great!"

"Wow, is there anything you'd like to say to Ryan? We can help deliver it." The two girls cheered up.

"Unfortunately, ladies, I have to tell you that when I passed by Times Square at 6 o'clock, there were already thousands of people lined up over there. It's estimated that there are at least a few thousand now. You might end up making a wasted trip today."

"No...it can't be?" Kristen's smile immediately disappeared, replaced by a look of dismay.

"I told you, I told you!" Rhiannon complained, tugging on her companion's blonde hair. "Kristen, I told you we should have come over last night to queue, don't you know how popular Ryan is? Why did we have to stay in the hotel for a whole day?"

"You know, I auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club and was waiting to hear from Pittsburgh." Despite saying so, a look of regret still appeared on Kristen's face.

"Sorry, Lyle!" Kristen's eyes welled up with tears, as if she was about to cry at any moment.

"Never mind, never mind." Lai Rui'er magnanimously waved her hand. "Aren't you going to join the Mickey Mouse Club? You'll be going to Disney soon and will definitely have a chance to meet Ryan. Be sure to get me an autographed photo from him."

  "It definitely will!"

The taxi finally arrived at the destination, and before Laila and Kristen got out of the car, the middle-aged driver said, "May God bless you, may your wishes come true today!"

  "Thank you!"

Lyle said thank you, Kristen had already turned her head to look far away, muttering in her heart, today's God changed his name, in Times Square Ryan is God!

It's not yet 8 o'clock, and there are already thousands of people gathered in one corner of the square, mostly young people like them. The two can't wait any longer and rush over together.

  "There are so many people!"

Two people were stunned, with at least over a thousand people lined up in front of the record store, and even more gathered in front of the stage. Not to mention queuing, it was impossible to squeeze to the front of the stage.

"How annoying!" Kristen stamped her foot in frustration.

She and her companions came all the way from Pittsburgh to New York just to get their idol's autograph, if they could take a photo together that would be even better, now this possibility has become infinitely low.

She felt increasingly despondent, with an urge to cry. Strictly speaking, she was also a singer who had started performing on stage very early and had even participated in a national star search competition across the United States, although she failed, but appeared on a Pittsburgh TV show and sang the national anthem for several sports clubs, and was somewhat famous in Pittsburgh.

Although her childhood was unhappy, she has always been proud of her musical talent and believed that when she grew up, she would become a big star like Madonna.

Until last year, she suddenly found that many people in the school were singing a song called "he", which was catchy and light, especially the lyrics, it was so interesting that it quickly attracted her, and she even modified the lyrics and sang loudly at the school assembly, sarcastically mocking the person she disliked the most.

Then she met the creator and singer of the song, Ryan Jenkins, a boy one year older than her who had already released a single, which made her feel somewhat unconvinced that her own musical talent was inferior to his!

She began collecting information about this person, and the more she looked, the more shocked she was by his works, his talent, and his multiple identities!

This boy is a young writer, a hot film screenwriter, a well-known child star in Hollywood, a songwriter, and a fighter who dares to confront the pressure of big stars head-on!

She became more and more interested in him, buying all his works, books like "Jurassic Park", "The Ryan Stories" and "Harry Potter...", video tapes like "Sixth Sense", "Home Alone" and "Terminator 2"... The more she watched, the more shocked she was. What he had achieved at this age was unprecedented in Hollywood history!

She fell in love with it and she and her neighbor sister Laila, who watched it with her, became die-hard fans of Ryan Jenkins.

She likes his books, likes his movies, but what she likes most is his music. Even though he only sang one song, after the movie "The Bodyguard" was released, she listened to the original soundtrack of the ten songs he created more than a hundred times and could already sing them herself. Especially "I Have Nothing", many people think she sings with Whitney Houston's style.

It's been more than half a year, and she has been looking forward to Ryan releasing new songs. She also heard that he was going through vocal changes, which made her feel somewhat disappointed. Unexpectedly, just as the new year began, "I.Believe.I..fly" started its promotional campaign, and this inspirational song made her think of her own dreams.

I believe I can fly! Spread my wings and fly high! It was while listening to this song, singing along with it, that she auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club, dreaming of being in the same company as her idol. She succeeded.

But now, she's a loser and might lose the chance to get close to Ryan. Nobody knows how much she wants to run up to that boy and say thank you loudly - it was your song that made my dreams fly!

"Kristen, Kristen, what are you thinking?" Laila pulled on her hand, "Are we going to the stage side or lining up at the record store?"

"You're too late." A boy beside him said, "You can still squeeze in on the stage side, but it's estimated that signing is not possible. I roughly counted, there are more than 2,000 people in line!"

"Isn't there another way?" Kristen asked persistently.

"Have you seen him?" The boy pointed to a boy in the distance, who was at the front of the line. "I went to talk to him, he's been lining up here since last night, everyone in front of him came last night."

"Ryan is a big star now." Lyle sighed.

"Big shot?" The boy curled his lip, clearly disagreeing with the other person's opinion. "Who is Ryan? The author of Harry Potter and Jurassic Park, a child star who has won an Oscar, can dictate the script for Bodyguards in three hours, and write 'I Will Always Love You' in half an hour. Go ask a big shot in Hollywood if they can do that! What's Tom Cruise? Our Ryan is ten streets ahead of him!"

The boy looked completely like a brain-dead fanboy.

  "Right! Right!"

His voice was a bit loud and reached the ears of many people around him, who loudly echoed in agreement.

  "Ryan~ Ryan~"

It was unclear who started it, but several people shouted at the same time, and Kristen also raised her arms and shouted loudly. The sound then spread throughout the entire square, with thousands of people shouting in unison.

The clear cry echoed across Times Square, echoed along Fifth Avenue, and reached the Hudson River...

Christine suddenly felt a nudge, turned her head to see a thin girl with a small backpack walking past her, and the little bear doll hanging from the backpack fell to the ground.

"Hey! Hey!" She pulled the girl over and pointed at the doll on the ground.

  "Thank you!"

The girl picked up the small teddy bear and held it close to her, shouting loudly, but the on-site shouts were too loud and couldn't be heard.

She pointed to her ear and shook her head, the girl seemed helpless, pointing to a distant place. Kristen hesitated for a moment, looked at her position, and walked with Laila and the girl to a quieter place further away, where it didn't make much difference anyway.

"They're all crazy, what's good about that guy, he's obviously just a fool."

The girl had a deep brown ponytail and a small mole on her cheek, although she looked very slender, she was extremely cute, only the words that came out of her mouth were not pleasant to hear.

That guy? Ryan? Kristen immediately knew who she was talking about and how could she say that!

"Thank you!" The girl thanked again.

"Not on my watch!" Kristen's demeanor changed. "You don't like Ryan, nobody is forcing you to. But you can't attack Ryan in front of us!"

"Me?" The girl's mouth was wide open, realizing that her muttering to herself had been heard by his fans. Was this what he meant by brain-dead fans?

"So, you have to apologize!" Lyle apparently also heard the girl's words.

Apologize? Isn't that just backing down to that guy? Absolutely not! The girl immediately shook her head, but seeing the two girls closing in on her, she looked at her own slender figure and said, "Wait... wait a minute, do you guys want to get Renn's autograph, want to be close to him, hmm... maybe even take a photo together?"

The fourth update is here, where are the votes and collections? I've been typing until I'm exhausted, two updates tomorrow~~
