A blossom of power echoed throughout the battlefield. Mana surged from each one of the Giants and into the King. A veneer of youthful vigor, and a magical sheen encased the King of the Giants.
The battle held its breath for a moment before it bellowed out into the crackling of Eldritch Fire, steel, and magic. I caught a sword stroke head on, the massive blade several times larger then me interlocked with my sword. With a push and redirecting the mountain of steel was sent into the stones below. As the blade but into the earth a plume of dust and sharp rocks flew into the air like the ash of a raging inferno.
Lashing out with the slivered blade of brownie make I bit into the heal of one of the combatants battling a horde of Void Fire Taints. The warrior was distracted by the wound as blood ran like tears from his injury. The creatures half Fire half Inky all consuming darkness like a mix of volcanic fury and mysteries of the watery depths took their chance. The warrior fell like a redwood tree, a mighty beast of several centuries fell into the earth.
My main opponent entered the fray his mighty sword and shield alongside a new strength of arms made a significantly larger threat. However with the Mages busy I grasped upon my mana and sent the extra dimensional energy into the earth marshalling it to my cause. Long spears of stone gray wrath arose and attempted to smite my foe but the shimmering magic barrier smothering him in its embrace protected him. Me moved towards me like an impending storm front.
His blade came down like a strike lightning and the sound of our clash of blades was thunder. Utilizing my smaller size I slipped past the sword clash, and moved in closer my sword became a stinger as I forced the blades tip into the flesh of King's lower calf. Quickly removing the sword from the Giant I watched as a steady flow of blood gushed out. Turning to his flanking leg I swiped blade to strike but my opponent shifted in time as his allies flooded around me, keeping the gap between us.
My spears of earth however did pierce the legs and appendages of his followers as their blood stained the stones the color of a fine red wine. Boosting myself on a wave of rock I met the blade of an axe head on the wielder of the blade was pushed back as I secondary wave beneath my own swept and nearly crushed his feet.
"SECURE THE MAGES! WE NEED THEM TO SHUT DOWN HIS GEOMANCY" the King bellowed and as I watched them snap into action I watched as the ranks formed around the mages from the taint. With a gathering my will and Mana I made a push with my Geomancy turning the rock into a syrupy liquid and the force of the stone sea destabilized the Giants as they sunk into it.
"SHIT!" I heard Eldritch—, wait no Lux cry out In pain as he cursed. Looking back I say a dart sticking from his chest and I felt our combined health pool drop.
"IT'S POSIONED" Lux cried out and I felt our health drop steadily. Lux panicking summoned a host of Void Fire and bathed in it, then I saw the poison damage stop.
In the scuffle and shuffle the Mages reformed and manged to remove my dominion of the earth. I may be stronger magically then then individually but united they had more experience, mana, and willpower. Unless I invested Divinity into it I wasn't going to be able to wrangle the power back.
"Dammit, let's break their blockade and get rid of those mages pronto!" I yelled back to Lux.
"Got It!" Lux replied as I felt the fabric of reality shift and even more Eldritch Taints exploded outwards in a horde of darkness and fire. I struck out in a bolt of momentum as I crashed like a meteor into their flanks. I say meteor but honestly more like a high density pebble. I left 'kien shaped hole as I punched through the shield of my opponent having recognized a warp in its surface. As I landed on the giant I stabbed my blade deep into his collar bone. My enemy screamed in agony, pulling out my sword I jammed it into the jugular of the Giant.

Retrieving my blade I jumped ship as the warrior fell to his knees spasming. As I landed on my next opponent I felt myself be rattled as the Giantess attempted to crush me like a fly.
Quickly I dug the blade deep into the soft skin between the torso and the lower side of the shoulder. My opponent cursed and took her hand off. She attempted to bash me with her fist, but I tried to quickly rolled to the side. Then I felt a snag my blade was caught on something. Cursing I dodged at the last second as I felt the rush of air behind me. My opponent cursed as she unknowingly lodged the blade deeper into her shoulder. Summoning my club I felt a spasm of danger as the King Giant rose his blade above his head and attacked me.
"[KING'S ROYAL DECREE: EXECUTION]" I felt magic befall me instantly locking me in place as the blade descended. Rasing my shield above me. As the Blade fell [Flow of Combat] screamed at me, but thankfully the small pocket watch remained quiet as didn't ring my death knell, I would survive.
The strike as it hit my shield sent a shockwave that deafened me and the force rattled my whole body as my teeth rattled. I felt my body be released and I darted like Field mouse under the gaze of a bird of prey. Raising my club I Jumped up and struck the Kings Knee. He gasped and I summoned a [Force Field] underfoot as I struck again before my foe could maneuver backwards.
"Arrgh" the King grunted as he repositioned himself lowering his shield in order to block better against a smaller opponent. I meanwhile took off, every step had a small [Force Field] that I would reabsorb after using it to get to the next [Force Field] like series of magical stairs. This method rapidly ate through my Mana as me running full speed generated a great deal of force. The King lashed out hai sword riding a wave of his fury and I immediately pivoted evading the strike. The King continued to retreat as I neared closer and closer to the him. As he backed up two spearman that had battled me before interceded.
Jumping off I landed on one of them and gouged out one of his eyeballs. The viscera covered me and I nearly puked, luckily I had my helmet on or I would have. He crumpled to his knees as leapt to the remaining spearman who shrieked in horror. This spearman discarded his spear in favor of twin daggers. The cyclone of swinging giant daggers made it a nuisance to fight especially as their comrades butted in.
Then I heard yells of anger and I felt the mages grip on the Earth waver. Taking my chances I liquefied the earth under their foot and entrapped them. Their yells and screams of horror bathed the battlefield. In my haste I left my self open and I smote out of the sky breaking through the [Force Field] holding my aloft on my forceful descent to the ground.
Scrambling to recover myself as I liquefied the earth as I crashed into it. At the lowish height I fell from it cushioned my fall. Rising from the syrupy stone grey liquid I looked up at the assembled warriors and leaped upwards.

In the City of Sunlit Night, Paradox
...
"Aw, my daughter, how are you?" The Honorable Tyrant stated warmly as smiled at his child. Very few relationships were treated with such reverence and respect as that as child and parent in the realm of Paradox where having title of friend can be as dangerous or even moreso then the title of enemy.
"Hello, I'm doing well, Mother whispers have gotten stronger" Despotissa replied and a sad smile appeared on her father's face. Another relationship treated with equal reverence is that if partners. It spoke of a great deal of trust as Eldritch beings where all capable of Asexual Reproduction, so they didn't require partners like mortals or divines do. So having a voluntary weakness and complete trust of another was a big decision.
"That's wonderful to hear, but I called you hear because my little apprentice has grown his paradox, you know the same as the Arch Duke that just bit the dust?" The Honorable Tyrant stated bluntly as He showed the screen he was watching.
"Hmm, I will take that into account for the invasion of the Privateers archipelago" the Despotissa stated as she watched with keen eyes on the Battle in the Tutorial of the Mortal plains.
