The Map had several geographical features and as I scanned the unfamiliar place names and terrain a I stumbled across one that was familiar. The City of Sunlit Night, around I assumed was the Domain of the Honorable Tyrant.
"Let me direct your attention here to ocean" the Tyrant stated his finger tapping on a cluster of islands off to the coast, once he had my attention he started again.
"This Island Chain appeared some time ago and raiding ships have been attacking me and fellow lords coastal regions since then, after doing some digging I uncovered that each of these islands are the domain of small privateer captain, under an alliance of mutual benefit, typically we would simply ignore them, let them gain more powerful, let them plump up a bit before harvest but right now they are the perfect strength for my Daughter's first campaign, and if you participate you could claim an Isle as your personal fief or residence depending on the size." The Tyrant explained as he zoomed the map in on the Island Chain. There where five major islands and a cluster of about fifty smaller ones. The largest island was about half the size of the City of Sunlit Night.
"Wait of me as a newly minted Entity could claim a domain why doesn't all Entities do that?" I asked curiously.
"The hard about domains is the starting costs, is in order to make a domain of any size you need a Dreamrift Jewel, no doubt the privateers spilt a small one amongst themselves, Dreamrift Jewels cost an arm and leg so many times it's easier to simply conquer some else's domains." The Lord explained.
"Okay expensive jewel got it, and about the lead on my Paradox?" I asked as I remembered he had stated he had two points of conversation.
"I was getting their though there isn't much more to discuss on the previous matter until you do have a paradox" the Tyrant mused before he summoned a small crystal ball of swirling abyss with a small bright light in the center.
"What's that?" I asked on reflex as I felt the crushing anxiety and helplessness caused by the swirling darkness and then the surging and fiery heat of inner hope from the light.
"The owner of this paradox was one of the Arch-Dukes, specifically the Arch-Duke of the Burning Void, he was recently struck down in battle and so his Paradox of [Light of the Void] is up for grabs and I got one of his successor memory crystals." The Tyrant explained. Looking down at the sphere of contrasting ideologies I felt the dissonance of Hope and Dread, Light and Dark, Cruelty and Compassion, of Destruction and Creation.
"How could such a powerful being be struck down?" I asked as even looking at the crystal I could feel the lingering power of its creator.
"It's best not mention what for now, if it becomes a problem involving you I shall disclose that information"
"Got ya, something big bad and terrifying, alright so I take this crystal and try to gain the paradox of this dead Arch-Duke?" I asked trying to see if their was some complex ritual involving the hokie-pokie I needed to do first.
"Easier said than done, but yes, now take it and depart, I have matter to attend, and good luck" the Tyrant stated before he leaved the room.

Kien's P.O.V, Mortal Plains
...
Anastasia proceeded to rapid fire with information about the state of the inheritors corpse.
"You see here... Yeah a decent chunk of his blood vessels ruptured as soon as he died, along with a few assorted internal organs, but that in it's self isn't the issue it's the amount of unstable energy that is extremely hostile." Anastasia rabbled on as she pointed to various charts that she had weaved.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
"Hmm, sounds like thats going to be an issue especially if the instability becomes a reoccurring problem" I stated as I had passing understanding of what she was talking about.
"Phew, had to get off my chest, it's exciting to struggle against a problem, but at same time so frustrating, anything up with your smithing?" She asked suddenly as she mellowed out.
"Ah, not with smithing but something else this time." I stated as my eyes flickered to screen of my new skill of [Life Breathing] I could feel the single cell organisms I had created even from here.
"What?" Anastasia asked as her eyes looked at me curiously.
"I woke up this morning sweating like crazy, and then the system spouts something about unlocking a part of my heritage" I explained and Anastasia nodded along for a second before answering.
"So? Is it a super strong skill or ability?" She asked.
"No, not exactly I did gain a skill, and it's called [Life Breathing] but it's labeled as A Divine Heritage skill, it's effect is essentially useless as it allows me to turn inorganic objects into single celled organisms." I explained and Anastasia seemed perplexed.
"What's a cell?" She asked, which reminded me, how was i supposed to explain the existence of super small creatures so small it was nearly impossible to see? I guess I just explain it bare bones
"Ah, they're really small animals, so small you can't see them, at least not without specialized equipment, but just to clear it up they can't really do much by themselves or in small numbers" I explained as even bacteria and viruses needed large numbers in order to beat out ones immune system.
"So basically a really cool sounding divine related skill that is functionally useless?" Anastasia reiterated.
"Essentially, although I did get a bunch of Divinity and some extra comprehension for Noble and Eldritch." I explained to her.
"So you got short sticked, unless you know away to power level the skill?" Anastasia said probably trying to find a way to make the skill useful.
"I can't level it up due to it being a Heritage Skill." I explained.
"So it's worse, but eh, maybe it'll be useful later, so what are you worked up about?" Anastasia asked.
"Well it's a heritage skill, so what about me being a human allows me to create organisms, turn the unalive alive?" I asked her my worries spilled out was this just a human thing? Then why the Eldritch comprehension and Divinity then?" I asked her.
"Well, your dad's human right?" She asked to which I nodded, my dad was not one for keeping secrets like ever, so he couldn't be an Alien.
"Then how about your Π????√?" All of sudden as the last word was spoken a headache like a chisel and hammer where thrust into my skull, both me and Anastasia collapsed like puppets with cut strings.
....
"Are you Alright?" I felt a gentle shaking and then I stirred from deep black slumber, my head was pounding soft but steady.
"Ugh, wait a second, geez what happened?" I asked as I rubbed my temples.
"I felt a disturbance magically here, perhaps one of Anastasia's experiments went awry?" I finally recognized the voice it was the Elderessa's. Then I looked over and my Divine Companion stirred her and she stood up.
"Ugh if thats what sleepings like, never again" Anastasia stated as she swayed on her legs before standing up.
"Was one of your experiments on a timer?" I asked her and she shook off what was no doubt a very similar headache as mine.
"Ugh, I don't think so.... Wait over there the Inheritors corpse has stabilized massively!" Breathing out a sigh off relief as the mystery was solved.
"How long were we out?" I asked the Elderessa.
"Maybe 10-5 minutes, I was a bit aways so I only felt the stirrings and not the origins of the source." The Elderessa explained. For a moment I was worried I slept past another week.
"Alright Anastasia you go handle your stuff I've got to go" I stated waving off as One hand held the side of my head as the dull rhythmic was periodically interrupted by sharp needle like pains.
"Hmm, rest for a moment, when you get down to your quarters then come up to me" she stated.

"Hmm, Dangerous Game, Lady of the Undermount, some day it might just breed resentment, scattering the seeds across the mortal realms" the voice spoke out into the realm of nondescript black, his tone somewhat amused.
"Dearest, dearest, how would they say it? Yes, 'this isn't my first rodeo' all I have to do is control the narrative and prune the sickly" another voice, distinctly alien in tone and pronunciation but clearly female.
"Whatever you say mother, I know many of my Kin who grew up in the glass vineyard grew very powerful, am I not a testament to its success" the voice responded questioningly but amused, they had this conversation many times.
"How many times to I have to tell you, the prodigies will succeed no matter what, it's about bringing the subpar up to snuff that the Vineyard failed, besides the wild ones are blooming in such interesting ways..." The voice crooned as she looked down at a projection of the infinite Mortal Plains.
