Chapter One Little Girl
Li Luoyu was walking down the street with a large package on his back, one hand holding a silver-white wig and the other gripping a huge black sword.
Two thousand years later, there were more and more people who dared to be different, and people became more accepting of strange behavior. Many people knew that some people liked to dress up as characters from anime, so Li Luyu's appearance was no longer a spectacle that attracted crowds.
Li Luyu had just left the party where demons were dancing wildly, holding his own equipment and preparing to go home. The black sword in his hand was painted with carbon ink on wood, although it looked rough, but it seemed to be of high quality.
People like him walking on the street, the vast majority of people just glance at him, and some children shout that his weapon should have appeared in which manga or game.
When he ran into such a little kid, Li Luyu would feel proud of himself, then waved his black sword and struck two poses, looking at the small stars twinkling in the child's eyes, with a slight smile on the corner of his mouth.
Li Rouyu walked past the street corner, almost home, stopped in his tracks and turned around, only to find that the little girl who had appeared at the gathering earlier was still following him from a distance.
The little girl wore a magnificent palace dress, with the luxurious and delicate style of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. The intricate gold embroidery, wide water cloud sleeves, and the majestic long gown that trailed on the ground had an extremely rich texture, exuding a soft and flowing quality. At first glance, this set of palace attire did not seem to have any obvious era or cultural mark from any dynasty in Chinese history. Instead, it looked more like the costume of a BOSS-level character with a fairy background in some games, or the feeling of high-level equipment.
What caught Li Luyu's attention was that on the ribbon hanging from the little girl's collar, there was a mysterious and unknown symbol that seemed to emanate an aura of mystery, making Li Luyu feel that this should be the equipment of a cultivator, just like the real thing.
The little girl's neck still wore a dazzling necklace with various colors of gems, just like the real thing.
What was most striking, however, was the golden cane she held in her hand, which was about the same height as Li Rouyou's. It was studded with sparkling gems all over and had a circular ring at the top with a crescent moon shape cut out of it. A string of wind chimes hung from the top of the ring, and as she walked, they emitted a crisp, clear sound that was both melodious and haunting.
A little girl like this, as if she had walked out of an oriental classical fantasy game or a character described in it, appeared on the street.
There was no inferior attire on her, exquisite accessories, delicate workmanship, and natural demeanor. She looked like a professional COSPLAYER, which poked at Li Luyu's self-esteem as an amateur player who didn't even enter the door. Her appearance made the COSPLAY gathering that Li Luyu participated in seem especially ridiculous.
At the party just now, the appearance of this little girl initially triggered a small commotion. However, when she ignored everyone and continued to face them with an arrogant expression, looking at others with disdainful eyes, the atmosphere of the party became somewhat dull. It was as if during the second Mount Hua Swordsmanship Competition in "The Return of the Condor Hero", Yang Guo, Guo Jing, and Yideng Dashi watched a group of inferior martial artists competing for the title of number one under heaven, and with one loud laugh from Yang Guo, those people were scared out of their wits.
Although this little girl didn't scare Li Luyu and others to the point of peeing their pants, she felt that she wasn't playing professionally enough and somewhat lost face, so she ended the activity early.
After Li Rouyou left, she found that this little girl had been following her all the time, and didn't know what she wanted to do. But she never expected that she would follow herself here.
Li Lu stopped in his tracks and beckoned to the little girl, indicating for her to come over.
The little girl had a head of straight and smooth long hair, which fluttered beside her slender waist, giving people a warm and refreshing feeling. However, there was too much coldness on her delicate small face, the slightly pointed chin matched with the rounded lines, but because of the emotionless eyes, it looked especially arrogant. She stood there like a cluster of crystal, clear and transparent, but the sharp thorns made people dare not approach and play with her.
Seeing Li Luoyu's gesture of beckoning her like a spoiled child, the little girl's arrogance and indifference seemed to be provoked. Her delicate, soft eyebrows furrowed, then relaxed again. With slender fingers, she lifted her flowing skirt, which was as smooth as running water, and walked over slowly.
The little girl walked up to Li Ruo Yu, keeping a safe distance of one meter away from him. She looked up at him with her head held high, although she was only as tall as his chest. However, her gaze seemed to be looking down on Li Ruo Yu, with an expression that was high and mighty, as if she were gazing down at a tiny ant from a superior position.
Li Luyu was also sizing her up, such a beautiful little girl is not often seen... or rather, except for the face-changing artistic photos in PS or the beautiful CG, Li Luyu had never seen such an exquisite person in real life.
Apart from being a bit arrogant and rude, her skin and facial features are all breathtakingly beautiful, that radiant and smooth skin is like a porcelain doll in a glass case, under the lighting and adornments, an exquisite and resplendent beauty that seems almost unreal.
There was no sign of any makeup, and this little girl made Li Luyu feel that beauty was somewhat illusory and distant... A normal person can't be perfect and flawless. How could her skin be so delicate without a single pore or hair? How could someone's eyes be as transparent as real crystal, emitting a cold aura? How could someone's lips be so tightly pursed without a single wrinkle, looking moist and tender as if they were always wrapped in water?
"What's the point of always following me?" Li Luyu wasn't a pedophile, this little girl was absolutely no more than fourteen years old, so the little girl was beautiful but not enough to make Li Luyu's heart flutter and want to show off in front of her, his current attitude was clearly somewhat unhappy.
"Tiān Yún Shén Jìng, Tiān Yún Dì Guó, ān Nán Huáng Shì Cháng Gōng Zhǔ, ān Nán Xiù."
Translation: "Heavenly Cloud Divine Realm, Heavenly Cloud Empire, Princess of the Imperial House of Annam, Elegance of Annam."
The little girl held her head high, the pride in her eyes and eyebrows seemed to say that she had scored a double hundred on an exam, with a very impressive look, as if anyone who heard this name would have to kowtow to her.
"An Nan Xiu? Which work's character?" Li Luoyu thought hard, but couldn't find any relevant information in her memory. After all, there were countless games and comics, and even a master wouldn't know every single character... Usually, unless it was a very famous character or the difference between the actor and the original character was too big, in COSPLAY self-introductions, they would start with introducing the character they were portraying. Li Luoyu thought this little girl just wanted to chat with her... At this age, girls usually liked to fantasize about and portray princess-like characters who were noble and loved by all.
"In the realm of gods, only the strongest empire can be named Tianyun. The Annan imperial family has ruled Tianyun Empire for tens of thousands of years. Only the most excellent divine technique masters within the imperial family can become the heir to the throne, that is, the Princess.
The little girl's small lips opened and closed slowly, revealing her bright white teeth, with a tone of pride and honor in her voice. She still held her head high, 'You may address me as Your Highness.'"
Li Luyu was taken aback, and couldn't help but laugh. People always think that real life is too dull, so they fantasize about different identities to satisfy their inner desire for something extraordinary. That's why there are so many people who love comics and games. The little girl in front of him was no exception... Ah, a kindred spirit! Li Luyu occasionally had dreams where he wielded a large sword and wore heavy armor, looking majestic and powerful. Even after waking up, the feeling lingered.
"What are you laughing at? Don't you understand?" The little girl frowned again, lowered her head and thought for a moment, "I'm speaking in the local dialect here."
"What native accent... you're speaking Mandarin. When did we Chinese people catch the British disease, thinking that speaking in a London or Oxford accent makes us superior?" Li Luyu was unhappy, some people indeed don't like to speak Mandarin and prefer local accents, which is fine, but to elevate oneself by belittling other accents as "native" is just too rude.
"These aren't important... I need your help, and of course, as a return, I'll pay you a satisfactory reward." The little girl grasped her cane, looking like she was giving someone an opportunity rather than asking for help.
"Go ahead, I'll help if I can." Li Luyu wasn't a stingy person and wouldn't bicker with an underage girl, especially since this little girl seemed to have some issues. Li Luyu thought to herself that she was probably someone who got too into playing COSPLAY, becoming so immersed in her fantasy world that she couldn't extricate herself.
"Before I return to the Tianyun Divine Realm, I hope you can serve as my attendant officer." The little girl said, taking off her necklace from her neck, "As for the reward, this necklace is given to you. In the Tianyun Divine Realm, the value of this necklace exceeds the total output of a medium-sized province."
Li Luyu didn't take the necklace, and by now he felt that this little girl was not only a bit strange, but she seemed to really think of herself as Princess An Nan of the Annan royal family... Not to mention how deeply she had entered into character, the most important thing was this necklace. Li Luyu could be certain that those dazzling gemstones were absolutely not cheap plastic or glass products. The precision craftsmanship of the cutting and inlaying, as well as the unique quality of the gemstones, was not something that luxury brands could easily match with just any old product they produced.
Compared with the treasures of Hebaojiari, Tiffany and any other jewelry brand, this necklace also has enough surprises.
