Heimdall quickly waved his sword around and stood in front of Seph and He in a defensive position.
"You two are... Stht here aurn back to where you e from." Heimdall spoke in a righteous tone as his light lit up with an e glow.
He's face darkened instantly and she summoned a necrosword out of thin air, gring at Heimdall.
"You fool! How dare you point your sword at me? You deserve to die for this crime."
Heimdall could feel the oppressive pressure from He and knew right there and then that he was not her match.
If the two of them really fought then he might even die.
But he still had to stop the two of them si was his job.
"Put down that on aurn back," Heimdall said in a solemn tone, ready to engage in a battle.
He narrowed her eyes a her knees, ready to poun her prey.
"I said... did I allow you to fight?"
The room fell deathly silent as Seph's voice rang out, low and anding, with the kind of weight that sent shivers dowhe bravest spines. His gaze, sharp and intense, bore into the crowd before him like a storm sweeping through an uneasy sea.
The tension in the air crackled like lightning before the storm broke.
Then, without a word more, Seph stepped forward with all the grace of a predator g its prey. In a motion so smooth it was almost hypnotic, his arm snaked around He's slender waist, drawing her closer in a manner both possessive and tantalizingly gentle.
He, the feared Asgardian Goddess of Death, the woman who had made gods tremble and armies kneel, suddenly found herself utterly frozen. The icy veil of her demeanor shattered like fragile gss as she ulled firmly yet effortlessly into the circle of his embrace.
"Wh-What are you doing?" She stammered, an uncharacteristic waver in her voice betraying her flustered state. The infamous bde-tongued goddess, who could shred egos with a word, suddenly sounded small. Vulnerable.
Her emerald-green eyes, so often brimming with cold, calg fury, now glimmered with something unfamiliar — an unbidden rush of warmth that painted her cheeks with a faint, rosy hue. She squirmed, desperately trying tain her usual posure, but Seph held her effortlessly, a smug smirk pying on his lips.
"I suggest you stay still," He murmured, his breath brushing tantalizingly against her ear as his hold oightened ever so slightly. His tone was hoeasing, and carried a magic pull that seemed impossible to resist.
"You—Release me!" She demanded, her voice a mixture of desperation and indignation, though the growing warmth spreading through her made the and falter halfway.
He, the ruler of Hel, destroyer of tless realms, had never known such brazen proximity to ahe strength in his grasp, the heat of his touch—it rattled her more than any bde or battle ever had. The cold armor she had ed around her soul for millennia melted under his gaze, leaving her oddly exposed.
For the first time in her long and bloody life, He found herself in the unfamiliar territory of vulnerability—and perhaps, something far more dangerous: intrigue.
Seph ignored her embarrassment and looked ahead at Heimdall. "You too. Put away that sword. We are here on a trip and not to cause trouble, okay? You will scare everyone."
He snorted areated her sword, slightly displeased. She crossed her arms in front of her chest and g Seph unhappily.
Seph smiled apologetically at her and faced Heimdall. "You too bug guy. You know it too. You ot defeat either one of us so why bother? Just close your eyes on our trip and act like we are not even here. What do you say?"
Heimdall furrowed his brows, pting over his offer. He was best aware of his abilities and knew clearly that he might even die if he faced Seph and He.
But he was the guardian of the Bifrost, the entrao the Asgard. If he even failed to do his job, how would he show how face around iure?
Seph observed his facial expression and smiled lightly. "o say anymore. I got it. Duty is more important than life! Fine. So, I only do this..."
"Sleep!"
"Huh?"
Heimdall wielded his sword and jumped toward Seph but before he could even reach them, Seph simply said a word and Heimdall lost his vision.
Bang!
His head collided with the ground before he slumped down on the ground in a weird manner. His dear sword, Hofound, slipped from his grasp and slid down on the ground until it stopped at Seph's feet.
Seph carefully picked it up and caressed it gently before he walked over and pced it over his body.
He raised an eyebrow and saw that the gatekeeper was actually sleeping, even sn loudly. She was dumbfounded by Seph's course of a and looked gloomy.
Normally, she would have cut Heimdall's head off for his insole because of Seph, she could not do that.
He had no good feelings for her father and family. She did not even have any bond with the citizens of Asgard. She would spare anyone who bowed to her and kill everyone else without mercy.
But there was at least ohing she was happy about. Since she had stepped into the Asgard, she could feel her powers rec and rising rapidly.
Maybe in a little more time, she would recover her peak and bee even strohan her father, Odin.
Seph looked at her and walked over, patting her shoulder.
"trol yourself! You are letting your po to your head. We are not here to take the throne. I just want to talk with your old man and if possible I thi you recile with your family."
He's face turned dark and she spped his hand away angrily. "Recile? Don't make me ugh! We both know, it will never happen. You are not the one who had spent a thousand years locked into a dark and gloomy pce all alone."
Seph wao refute but he had no words. After all, she was right. Seph might have spent a million years but he had someoo chat with. He was not alone in that pce like her.
He sighed and said calmly. "Yeah, you're right. I don't uand your pain. But I also know that this pain and loneliness was brought to you by yourself and not by your family. I will not deny that whatever you're today, it was your father who shaped you like that and he ot shrink from his responsibility but what you did back then was also not something you should have done..."
He gred at Seph and asked dangerously. "Did you peek into my head?"
"I don't o." Seph shook his head and poi his eyes. "My eyes see everything. From the past to the future of anyone! And I just saw yourself... Sorry ?? ."
He opened her mouth to say something but then closed it back deg not to tinue anymore. She just snorted coldly and turned around to walk out.
"Hey wait! I don't know the dire. Don't walk so fast!" Seph shouted loudly as he ran after her on the massive rainbow-colored bridge.
Oher side, somewhere in the massive majestic castle
Odin was sitting fortably on a chair, sipping wine when he abruptly stopped. He could not help but furrow his brows as a familiar aura appeared in the range of his perception.
His hand shook a little and the gss fell down from his hand, spilling the leftover wine all over the floor.
The servants were startled and took a step ba fear, scared that they made a mistake.Odin raised his head and closed his eyes, muttering in his heart, trying to ect with Heimdall.
"Heimdall, are you there? What's happening? Did someone open the Bifrost? Heimdall!..."
But no matter how much he spoke, he returned silen return. If not for Heimdall's preseill alive in Asgard, he might have thought that the guardian was dead, killed by his daughter.
