Volume 10. Chapter 56: I Was Given An Absolutely Horrid Request! (Chapter 957)

Chapter 56: I Was Given An Absolutely Horrid Request!

Since there was now a new enemy of ours, who we don’t know the strength or identity of… it was decided that Celia’s trip to find Runey was to be postponed. Runey is an adult, and if anything bad happened to her… everyone here would notice it.

Due to that, Runey’s vanishing is not the main topic right now. Huh? Why did I skip over the silence between both Zelia and I? Ah, no reason, none at all. Just that Celia had instantly healed the entirety of Zelia’s wounds, even seeming to make her stronger than ever before!!!…

Nemu “Guanyu… give back my power.” She demanded, no longer willing to play along.

Guanyu: “I will simply keep it blocked until I am certain of your safety.” She replied with an unbothered tone.

Nemu: “Safety?! Guanyu, I am so many years your senior… yet you’re treating me like an inexperienced child. Or, in this case, a newbie disciple of your sect.” She added with further fury.

Even after what happened, it all being cleared up… the Cultivator sternly refused to unblock Nemu’s control over Mana. While I did prevent Zelia from getting memories detailing Celia’s Mana origin, that is slowly being revealed to the rest of the family. So Nemu doesn’t need to hide it anymore, thus, how she is acting in front of everyone.

Guanyu: “Celia healed Zelia, without having the intention of that being an instant cure. Until more research on this is done, I advised Celia not to mess with Pure Mana recklessly again, and she agreed with me.” She explained before calmly taking a sip of her tea.

Nemu: “What does that have to do with my situation, Guanyu?” She asked with a raised eyebrow, now with her arms crossed, a pout on her face.

Guanyu: “Do you truly wish for me to answer that? We aren’t in a private setting.” She replied with her own question, tone that of pure seriousness.

Nemu: “Of course, please do. It better be a good enough reason, or I will… think of a way to get back at you later.” She agreed, now looking smug.

Guanyu: “You, yourself… don’t understand your full power. Even worse, you didn’t notice the damage moving through a frozen timeline did to your Soul. Manipulating Mana again… will spell your death, with no one able to save you.” She lectured with the expression and tone of a Sect Leader, stunning all in the room.

Rarely did Guanyu ever raise her voice, or act like this. As such, the effect was quite potent. Nemu seemed to look inside herself, finding that the Cultivator’s words were right, her face turning a bit grim. The System would have notified Nemu of the damage to her Soul… if it wasn’t currently paused.

Nemu: “I might have a grudge against Runey now… Vulely, I’ll go wake up your current self. You shall go back to your present, and figure out what we need to do so that everything works out.” She randomly ordered, more of pleaded, trying to stay calm.

Celia: “If Vulely is able to withstand the potential mental trauma… then I agree. We’ve been cheating this entire time, so there is no reason to not cheat our way to a perfect future once again.” She added with an approving nod, now looking at me like I am her hope.
