Chapter 5: Bathing with Companions
"Rub-a-dub-dub, rub-a-dub-dub, rub-a-dub-dub. We're coming to bathe our bodies. Let's go to the bathroom and scrub our bodies clean, let's wash away the tiredness."
"Rub-a-dub-dub, rub-a-dub-dub, washing my body with a companion is fun. Rubbing together, ah, it's going to turn red! Don't dare not rub, or the skin will crack and bleed. I'm warm and gentle, but you're rubbing so hard! Companion, wash my body, ah, washing is a wonderful thing... Rub-a-dub-dub, rub-a-dub-dub..."
Song Wen stood in the warm pool water, scrubbing his body while singing the Minnan song "Fang Ban Xi Shen Ku", feeling extremely comfortable.
Who would have thought that joy would turn to sorrow? Suddenly, his foot slipped and he fell into the water. Unprepared, he swallowed a few mouthfuls of pool water.
As I drank from the water inlet, I unexpectedly felt a sweet and silky sensation, as if it was even clearer and sweeter than mountain spring water. I couldn't help but take a few more sips. Suddenly, I realized that this was probably my bathwater, and I hastily spat it out, but unfortunately, it had already entered my stomach and been digested. There was no way to spit it out now. Unconsciously, I cursed myself with a "damn banana".
After taking a bath and returning home, perhaps after soaking in the hot spring, I felt much more comfortable all over, lying on the bed, I fell asleep beautifully.
The bright moon in the sky is high and emits a faint, soft light.
The moonlight passed through the window and shone on Song Wen's body, as if it had wrapped him in a layer of silver gauze.
As Song Wen breathed in and out, the moonlight seemed to be synchronized with his breathing rhythm, flickering on and off.
The fan and copper mirror he placed on his bedside table suddenly emitted a faint glow, then flew up. After circling around him twice, they entered his body and disappeared without a sound.
If one could see through Song Wen's body, they would find that the Ruyi fan and copper mirror were safely nestled in his Dantian, three inches below his navel. The area was a blur, with only the Ruyi fan and copper mirror visible. The halo surrounding them seemed to fluctuate with Song Wen's breathing, an eerie sight.
One night without dreams, after waking up, Song Wen felt refreshed and invigorated. Taking a deep breath, he felt a little dizzy, which was an unprecedented feeling for him.
Suddenly, my stomach felt strange, and then with a "boom" sound, a loud fart was released. The smell was incredibly pungent, enough to be used as an insecticide. However, I estimated that before it could even kill the ants and cockroaches, I would have fainted first.
No, I need to go to the bathroom. Song Wen hurriedly ran to the bathroom.
After a while, he came out feeling refreshed and invigorated, saying with a shake of his head: "Getting up early, clearing the intestines, is truly one of life's greatest pleasures."
Suddenly, there was another strange movement in his stomach, and he hurriedly continued to squat on the toilet.
"Ah Wen, dinner is ready."
At this time, his mother Chen Xiuhui called out from outside.
"Got it."
After a while, he emptied his bowels again and came out brushing his teeth and washing his face. Song Wen was also puzzled, not knowing what was going on today, why did he pull twice in a row?
He ate while thinking, remembering that he didn't eat much yesterday, just some noodles and ordinary dishes, nothing special. And those noodles were even made by himself, how could anything happen? Was it the water he drank yesterday? You stupid thing, shouldn't have drunk that bathwater, looks like something's happened now!
Deep hatred in my heart, I secretly scold myself for being so stupid. The things that were washed out of my body are all bacteria and dirty things, but I still foolishly drank several mouthfuls. You banana papaya, can you be any more foolish?
Song Wen was thinking gloomily, and he buried his head and shoveled rice into his mouth.
In the morning, he had sweet potato porridge with hollow vegetables stir-fried in fermented bean paste, which was very appetizing. Song Wen ate seven or eight bowls at once. After finishing his meal, he felt strange, wondering why his appetite was so good today, as he usually only ate two bowls at most. Was it because he had diarrhea and also ate more?
A puzzle in mind, but can't figure out a reason, so just stop thinking about it.
Yesterday, he said he would go dig bamboo shoots. Although his father has almost finished digging now, he still wants to take a look. After saying goodbye to his sister and mother, he walked out. Who knew that as soon as he reached the door, he suddenly let out a loud fart.
Suddenly, the house was filled with a foul smell. His little nephew, who had just finished eating and was playing on one side, smelled the odor and immediately scrunched up his face. Finally, unable to bear it, he hastily ran outside and panted heavily.
"Uncle, what kind of fart did you let out, it smells so bad."
The little guy scrunched up his face and fanned his nose with his hand as he spoke.
Song Wen was speechless, and it's hard to say if there's still a good smell left.
Chen Xiuhui and Lin Qinglan inside really couldn't take it anymore, so they also walked out.
"Awen, what did you eat yesterday? The fart you let out is so smelly. Is it constipation? If so, go eat some bananas to moisten your intestines and relieve constipation."
Chen Xiuhui said kindly to her son.
For his mother's meticulous teaching, Song Wen could only reluctantly respond with a "yes". Suddenly, his stomach churned and his belly acted up again, so he hurriedly ran to the toilet.
......
You banana guy, what's going on, you pulled it ten or more times this morning?
Once again coming out of the toilet, Song Wen thought helplessly.
I don't know what's going on, but he's been constantly running to the bathroom all morning. After using the bathroom, his stomach would feel hungry, and after eating, he'd have diarrhea again, repeating this process over a dozen times, almost twenty times already! I have no idea what's happening, even if he drank his own bathwater yesterday, it shouldn't be like this! This is like some kind of super laxative, damn it!
Thinking that this won't do, Song Wen hastily walked out of the house, wanting to go find a doctor to take a look and see what's going on.
After a while, arrived at Ah Xi Clinic.
"How come you fell down again."
Afen saw him and said with a smile.
"What's going on? I've had diarrhea all morning, I've gone to the bathroom over ten times, almost twenty times. You take a look and see what's wrong." Song Wen said as he sat down in front of Ah Fen.
Afen took a look at his face, shook her head and said: "Diarrhea? Doesn't seem like it! You've had diarrhea nearly twenty times, how can you still be standing, and your spirit is still so good, your complexion is still so rosy."
"Don't know what's going on, pulled and stomach is hungry, hungry then want to eat, finished eating and want to pull again, tormented to death."
"There's something strange going on here, come and let me take a look."
After finishing speaking, Ah Fen picked up the stethoscope and pressed it against Song Wen's chest to listen, then took his pulse and looked at his tongue.
After watching, he asked: "Didn't you eat something unclean yesterday?"
"No, I went to Ah Hu's place yesterday and had a bowl of braised noodles, then went home for dinner and sleep. It was only when I was taking a bath that I accidentally drank some bath water, don't know if it's because of the bath water."
"It's unlikely, but you don't look like anything is wrong either. Why don't I give you some stomach medicine to try first? If it doesn't work, then you can go to the big hospital for a check-up."
"Can't I take Chinese medicine? Western medicine tastes weird." Song Wen said with a frown.
"I can't prescribe Chinese medicine for you, go find the old man in my family."
As she spoke, Ah Fen pointed inside.
Traditional Chinese medicine is profound and vast, she has been studying medicine since childhood, but with her father-in-law around, there's no chance for her to prescribe medicine, so she usually only treats minor illnesses like colds and fever, while other things such as writing prescriptions have to be done by her father-in-law.
Song Wen listened, then walked inside. He had always disliked taking Western medicine, feeling that it had a strange taste and made him want to vomit after eating. Although traditional Chinese medicine was bitter, he could barely accept it.
