Chapter 23 - "The Demon"

Iko was scared of checking the other notifications that came with the connection again, so she decided to first identify Hori.

350?! ARE YOU COMPLETLY SURE YOU TRIED TO KILL ME? BECAUSE I THINK I WOULD BE BURNT TO A CRISP IF YOU ACTUALLY TRIED!

Hori noticed her gaze and turned to her with a strange look.

“Everything alright, your majesty?” He said while looking at her with those eyes filled with concern, those she didn’t like.

“Don’t call me that, it was already a pain to convince a level 150 tiger to not call me “My Lady” to now have a level 350 dragon calling me “Majesty“, just call me Iko” She said while looking at the army to see their reactions to the dungeon, and they didn’t look as bad as she thought, surprised at best, but she guessed that after a meeting with 3 dragon elders in their way to get there made it so they were harder to be surprised .

“Rank A...” Iko heard Leo talk next to her.

“Yep, from what I know the boss is level 150, so it shouldn’t be so hard for you, you are level 160 or around it aren’t you?” Iko said while starting to fly over to the dungeon, Hori right behind her and the army walking.

Who sends you to not have wings?

As she landed next to the hole she looked around for a way in, after all if the army tried to jump that height they would die, not matter what.

“Your majes-” Hori was interrupted by Iko hitting him in the head with her tail.

“Miss Iko... can I know where are you staying? I will need to tell the patriarchs” He said while looking strangely at her tail.

Took him long enough to see it, I wonder how they would react if they knew I was an artificial dragon?

“I'm staying there” Iko said pointing at the hole, since that wasn’t exactly a lie.

“In the dungeon...?” He asked apparently not believing it.

“Yeah, well used to live in a random town over in the forest, got destroyed, woke up here, then it turned into a dungeon, and I live inside now” Iko resumed the last months of her life, and technically all she can remember, in a quick and effective way.

“Your town was destroyed...? Why didn’t they come here?! The land of the dragons is safe!” Hori said while clenching his hands.

“Because they would clearly die here? They weren’t dragons, they were humans” she answered, no reason to hide that.

“A royal dragon was living with humans?” Hori asked not believing it.

Do these two races have done something in the past or what is that reaction?!

“Yeah, but they are all dead now, I’m kind of the only one who survived, and no matter how mad it makes me, it’s thanks to that bastard down there” Iko wasn’t lying about that, because even if it is still his fault she was now a dragon that sometimes want’s to eat humans, she would have died if not for Jaul fusing her soul to different bodies or he said something like that, she honestly already got over it, the fact her body was no really HER body.

“But if he saved you then why is he a bastard?” Said Leo, joining in the conversation.

“Because he experimented on me, is the owner of the slave chains and principally the reason I’m a royal of an unknown element, oh and the urge to eat human flesh is also his fault, he is also the man that you are looking for, and I'm pretty sure he experimented on your daughter too” Iko said nonchalantly, there was nothing she could do about it after all, but maybe those 2 could.

Leo eyes were shaking, and his aura started to leak, and Hori horns also lit on fire after his tail also did it.

“Well, Leo can take his revenge since he can enter, but I doubt he would allow you to enter” She said pointing at Hori.

“Why would I need HIS permission to enter and destroy his face? He can’t convince the gods to deny my entry” He said, his wings also starting to burn, but apparently everyone ignored the fact she just said she also had urges for human flesh.

“Because that’s HIS dungeon, he is now a demigod or some shit like that” She said while looking at the hole once again and saw that they did a whole camp for the day already.

“Well, I'm going back inside, good luck you two!” Iko said as she jumped into the hole after looking at the shocked expression of Hori at knowing Jaul was now a demi-god.

  Well this is new...

“Uhm... I guess the first 4 are for the guys that were on the screens, so the bosses... no idea the fifth one, the sixth must be where Jaul is and the last one is where the people he had kidnapped are? Isn't there one for me?” Iko said kind of sad knowing the dungeon didn’t create a room for her.

“Nameless queen? I like that name” Iko said while selecting it as her landing location,

The next moment she was thrown into a room with white walls and a big window, the bed to her right was huge and was filled to the brim with pillows that for some reason were pink.

White or black would have been better...

She looked to the other side of the room, towards the closet, which was open, and there where tons of dresses, which Iko didn’t really liked using.

She walked towards the window, but outside was nothing she could have expected.

She really didn’t know what she was expecting but it was something as an endless void, after all, she was supposed to be inside a dungeon, a realm disconnected from reality, but when she looked outside, she saw the same view she had seen the moment she entered the “pet” place of Jaul, but this time much more natural.

One could see a village near the desert that slowly turned to plains, and then you got to the jungle. The same plains could take you to a beach where the endless ocean was, and this time it was much livelier.

The snowy mountains were in a corner up to the north. Away from everything, but one thing the four zones had in common was the temple in the center, the jungle had it’s temple made out of rock with a statue of Rakikas true form, the desert had a pyramid and in the entrance they had a statue of the woman who was on the screen, the sea had a temple that wasn’t able to fit in the ocean, it had a statue of the sea serpent surrounding it, and the snowy mountains had an ice temple with the dragon sleeping on top of it.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

Dang... it looks cool... Oh right the other notifications, I should check those.

Iko summoned the system as she threw herself to the bed.

Iko ran to the window and began to throw up.

It wasn’t a nightmare... NO! It had to be! Then where did everything go... my blood and flesh were all over the floor! Why would it disappear?! I must calm down, I must calm down...

Iko began to breath in and breath out doing her best to calm down, but it was hard to assimilate the fact that she had in did ate her own arm while trying to not eat human flesh, even the system had acknowledged it! She began to breath in and out once again while summoning the system once again.

  What... what’s happening?

“This is something new! I never saw the system react like that!” a voice suddenly said behind her.

Iko turned around as fast as possible, her tail already trying to stab the intruder, but it just went through it.

“Don’t waste your breath, I live inside your mind now, this is just a projection” The figure covered in black said, it looked almost like the man in her night... the man that appeared last night, just that he was made from thunder...

“What do you mean? And I want only the truth” Iko was already concentrating corruption on her claws “What did the system mean by all those messages? Unforgiving sins? Can't be punished? And... are you the one the system called “The Demon”?” Iko said ready to attack at any moment.

“To your 1... 2... 3...4... 5! To your 5 questions, first! My soul now lives inside your mind! So I can project myself in your field of view” He said after counting with his hands the number of questions she asked.

“Second!” He said lifting two fingers “You are a dragon, and there are a lot of unforgiving sins for them, and you committed 3 of them, Eating the flesh of a royal dragon, drinking your own blood and eating your own flesh” He said like Iko was supposed to know that, which she technically should but she was an artificial dragon! How would she have known? And she didn’t do it in purpose!

“Third!” He lifted a third finger “You can’t be punished because by the law of the gods, those being watched by 2 or more gods can ignore one of the rules, someone who did it without wanting can ignore one of them, and those with a primordial soul can ignore one of the rules! And you have all of them! So you can commit the same 3 sins over and over again and you wouldn’t be punished!”

“Why would I want to do it again...” Iko said with her anger slipping into her tone.

“Why would I know?” He said shrugging “Fourth! Yes I am! The one that brought the world to chaos years ago!” He said while puffing his chest out.

“Two things, first I don't think anyone knows you, second, didn’t I ask 5 questions?” Iko said letting her guard down a little.

“I guess you did ask 5 questions... but I forgot one of them, so I don’t care, and what do you mean no one knows me?” He said while suddenly appearing on the window frame, his thunderous form resting on it without a problem.

“If you tell me what did you mean about the 2 gods watching me and that thing of a primordial soul!” Iko said after composing herself a little and rehearing the conversation on her mind, confused by what he had said.

“Fine” He teleported behind her and started whispering in her ear “Your soul is that one of a primordial being, the reason for that is unknown but is true that your soul has at least a thousand years, and the 2 gods watching you are watching exactly for that~” He said while caressing her cheek.

Iko tail tried to stab him but once again it only went through him, so since he had said he was on her mind, Iko just destroyed her brain with her claw after a bit of hesitation.

As she regenerated the being made of thunder was against a wall... throwing up?

“Girl what the fuck is wrong with you!? I was trying to make it funny! What the fuck was that?!” He said panting and pointing an accusing finger at her.

“Do that again and I swear I'll do it again” Iko said bringing her claw near her head again, this was much easier than eating herself.

“Fine, fine! Don't do it again! But I answered your question so answer mine now!” He said while doing his best to stop her claw, but he just went through it.

“Fine, I don’t know others but at least I have never heard of someone named “The Demon” I know the demon race but that’s it with that name” She said while walking to the door to explore the rest of the castle.

“Can’t you ask someone else then? Please! I did super cool things in the past!” He said teleporting in front of her.

Iko just went right through him “I could, but why would I?” she got to the doorknob and the moment she was about to open it she received a system warning.

“Only exploring the room, okay!” Iko said while turning around, she was still digesting eating her arm, so she wasn’t going to awaken “sensitive memories”. She wasn’t planning on handling both, and if she forgot about it, then maybe that was for the best.

But why would I have memories inside a castle created by the system?

“Because if you ask someone, I can help you get out of this castle!” The figure said still trying to get her to ask someone about him.

“Why would I want to leave? I’m not even a real princess; I’m an artificial dragon that when she got to level 15 somehow became a royal” Iko briefly explained that this was a dungeon, and this was her zone as the “Dungeon Assistant”.

“Ain’t no way in hell this place is a dungeon! It's realistic as hell! Back in my time dungeons were as best a cave!” He said while teleporting outside the window.

“Fine, I'll ask another person, but you must tell me who this “gods” are and why they are watching me” Iko said while checking the last of her notifications.

A corrupted family really exists? And first? Guess it makes sense since I’m the only one.

“Fine! The first God is “The Watcher”! It’s said to be a dragon, but it’s only been seen as a black form with thousands of eyes!” He said lifting a finger and doing emphasis on the eyes.

Isn’t that one the one who appeared during my... evolution and when I went crazy?

“The second one is known as “The Timekeeper”, the only thing we know about him is his name, but he is a god nonetheless, so it counts” He said while shrugging and jumping from the window.

“Ok... well I’m going to go ask Jaul I guess, he seems to know a lot about history” Iko said while opening the system and selecting “The master room”.

The space began to change, and the walls become pure metal, she appeared on the couch she was knocked out once.

“Oh, hi lizard!” Jaul said from the screens, he was kind of sweaty for some reason.

“Call me lizard once again and I swear I'll find a way to bring Hori into the dungeon” Iko said as she stabbed one of the screens with her tail.

“Ok, ok, just keep that beast outside my dungeon, so what do you want, I doubt you came here to just tell me that” Jaul said while changing the screens showing the soldiers.

  They already entered?

“I wanted to ask if you know someone named “The Demon” ... like a black figure made out of black thunder?” Iko asked as she throwed herself on the couch again.

“Heard of him, used to be a pretty strong dude who just went around killing for fun” Jaul said without a care on the world.

“Ha! I told you! I'm famous!”

“But he was absolutely demolished by the second monster lord after he tried to attack him, he died a really pathetic death” Jaul said dismissing the conversation.

“What do you mean a pathetic death!? We had a super fight! And it was a “her” what is wrong with him?” He said trying his best to hit Jaul.

Iko teleported once again to her room.

“What do you mean by a “her”? Everybody knows the second monster lord was a man” Iko raised an eyebrow confused.

“Like that man said, I fought against her! I can’t get confused like that! I’m pretty sure she liked wearing dresses, mostly of different colors, and she was a sword master too!” He said doing his best to protect his dignity.

“What kind of joke is that” Iko had grown accustomed to “the demon” in just a couple minutes, and that made her worry, she was getting too comfortable around strangers since it was almost impossible to kill her.

“Whatever I want to sleep, leave me alone” Iko said while throwing herself to the bed and starting to feel dizzy rather quickly.

  Finally, some peace
