Chapter 101: Night Trial of Captives

"It's so late, won't you be unable to sleep again if you go for another interrogation tonight?" Yun Cai said worriedly. "You didn't sleep at all last night, and your body can't take it if you don't rest for several days in a row, right?"

"It doesn't matter," Du Ming said carelessly. "I've already slept on the rescue ship this afternoon, and I've always said my record is seven or eight days without sleep, so it's not going to make a difference tonight either. Don't worry about me, just take good care of yourself, especially since I won't be by your side tonight, even though we're in our own home."

"Then, is there anything I can help with? Otherwise, I'll go with you?"

"I'm going to interrogate the captive, it's a scene you can't bear, don't go. As for helping me, the biggest help you can give is taking care of yourself, my wife," Du Ming said with a smile, "after all, my top priority is protecting you."

Yun Cai listened and could only nod her head, "Then how will you explain it to the gatekeeper later? Do you want me to escort you out?"

Du Ming shook his head and said, "With my skills, I can get out of your house without the gatekeeper knowing, so don't worry."

"Alright, then you must be careful too."

Du Ming smiled and let her put her mind at ease, then turned around and walked out of the room.

Yun Cai hastily leaned against the window, her room's window facing the main gate of Yun's house. She had originally wanted to take a look at Du Ming, but after half a day, she still hadn't seen his figure. Thinking that Du Ming said he could leave without anyone knowing, it seemed like she wouldn't be able to see him leaving either.

Du Ming quickly left the Yun residence, in the garage outside the Yun residence casually picked a car, casually pried open the door and started the fire, drove away.

On the road, Du Ming called Li Yulan, and the other end picked up quickly, "Hello, Mr. Du?"

"Where are you now? Have you completed the task I gave you? And where is that captive?"

"Report to Mr. Du, today's task has been completed as required, the captive has been transferred to a safe place, and no one has discovered it," Li Yulan said with some small pride.

"Alright," Du Ming said, "where is the captive now?"

Li Yulan said, "In my own home, I was watching him by his side."

Du Ming raised an eyebrow, "Your home? Alright, then tell me your home address now."

Li Yulan reported an address, and Du Ming quickly drove there.

Li Yulan had moved out of the Li family home to live on her own a long time ago. The address she provided was a villa under her own name, where she lived alone without anyone disturbing her.

Du Ming didn't even press the doorbell, after all, sneaking into a villa was really easy for him.

Du Ming walked around the villa for a few laps, quickly figured out the general structure, and found the only room with people. He pushed open the door and walked in calmly.

Li Yulan was inside, heard the sound of the door being pushed open and suddenly stood up, tensed her muscles, turned around vigilantly, saw that it was Du Ming, let out a sigh of relief, then asked in confusion, "No way, I clearly locked the door!"

Du Ming smiled and pointed at the already open door, "Can a lock stop me? Just like it can stop you?"

"That's no ordinary door lock! That's my special one!"

Du Ming smiled and didn't say a word, Li Yulan shook her head and let out a long sigh. "Alas, as expected of Mr. Du, no matter how hard I try, it's impossible to stop you."

"Never mind, let's not talk about this," Du Ming walked past her and took a few steps into the room.

The room is not big and almost nothing is placed inside. It seems that it was an idle empty room before, but this time Li Yulang specially found it out to lock up the prisoner.

There were several chairs in the room, one of which had a captive sitting on it, with both hands and feet tightly bound. Around there was a table with several knives and some miscellaneous tools laid out. There was nothing else in the house.

That captive was already bruised and battered, probably having been beaten by Li Yulan.

Du Ming walked to the side of the captive, slightly squatted down, his body level with the welfare and looked at him with a smile, saying: "Come on, sir, we don't need to be polite anymore, let's get started directly. What do you have to say? If not, I'll help you recall."

The assassin stuck out his neck and said, "Ask away! No matter how you interrogate or torture me, I won't say a word!"

Du Ming sneered and reached out to touch his neck, "Just now my subordinates beat you up, believe me, that wasn't torture or interrogation, she just wanted to vent her anger. It can't be considered an interrogation, let alone torture. Wait a minute, you'll know what real torture is. Don't you want to say anything?"

Du Ming's icy tone made the assassin involuntarily shiver, but he immediately stiffened his neck and said, "I won't say anything!"

  "Alright, you asked for it."

Du Ming stood up straight and slapped the killer with one hand.

This slap of Du Ming used eighty percent of his strength, the killer was slapped dizzy, let out a miserable cry. After all, he was also a cultivator, if it were an ordinary person, just this one slap from Du Ming would have been enough to kill him.

Du Ming didn't give the assassin any chance to breathe, and almost continuously punched him more than a dozen times. Finally, the assassin wailed in agony, spitting out blood desperately.

Du Ming slightly withdrew his hand and stood aside, "How about it, can you speak now?"

The killer coughed for half a day, panting heavily and resentfully looked at Du Ming, and only after half a day did he grit his teeth and say, "I won't speak!"

Du Ming smiled, "Good, you have backbone, someone like you can bring me more fun, come on, let's continue."

Du Ming walked forward, very casually kicking the killer's knee with one foot, making a cracking sound, which was the sound of Du Ming shattering his bones.

The man let out a mournful cry.

Du Ming turned his head to look at Li Yulan, "Is your home soundproof?"

Li Yulan said, "It's not bad, and I bought the house on purpose. There are no neighbors around, you can dispose of him as you like, and it won't disturb others."

Du Ming didn't mind startling others, but after all, in the country, it's better not to scare foreigners. One more thing is not as good as one less thing. He then turned to Li Yulan and said, "The next scene may be very ugly, if you don't want to see it, you can leave this room first."
