I looked up and saw the mayor pointing a gun at Torshik’s head. My eyes widened. Without thinking I swapped places with Torshik, the bullet hit my head instead. Within the instant I was dead.
I woke up back in the realm of the dead. My people’s heads snapped towards me. This time I didn’t resist. I quietly waved at them and let myself be dragged back into the physical world. I knew there were people who needed me there more than people in the spiritual world.
That night we had pizza and watched a movie. I sat next to Torshik to make sure he was comfortable. I then stood up to go to the bathroom. I was impressed that they evolved to sewage systems instead of just doing your business behind a bush or building.

While washing my hands my head suddenly jerked up and I fell. I was outside of the Eshkichin city’s gates. There were Heskian soldiers outside. There was also a girl. Artonia.
“Father please don’t do this! The Eshkichin are ruthless! They’ll kill everyone here and they won’t even stop there, they’ll kill every Heskian they can find!”
Suddenly I snapped back to the present moment. And I looked around. I joined them again. I didn’t say anything about what I had seen. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed the light of my spear was flickering.
