**Chapter 13: Those Who Listen**
Scene: Plateau of Awakening Aetherion, at Dawn
Kael sits alone at the edge of the void.
The Grey Feather rests before him.
The wind is still, suspended.
He closes his eyes.
Breathes in.
And speaks.
Kael (softly):
“I am not a master.
I am not a guide.
But if you have ever doubted…
If you have ever heard a song that others silenced…
Then listen.”
He plants the Grey Feather into the ground.
A ripple spreads through the air.
Invisible.
But real.
The Call:
The wind rises.
Gently.
It sweeps across the skies, the seas, the ruins.
It slips through cracks, silences, memories.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
And it whispers.
> Voice of the Wind:
> “There is another path.
> Neither light.
> Nor shadow.
> But memory.”
Responses:
1. A Forgotten Cave, South of Veyla
An old Aeromancer woman, her eyes veiled and cloudy, lifts her head.
She smiles.
Old Woman:
“At last… the wind speaks again.”
2. An Abandoned Ship – Sea of Tears
A former Black Feather, alone, burns his black plume.
He gazes at the horizon.
Tattooed Man:
“I thought I had betrayed everything.
But perhaps… I can still listen.”
3. A Ruined Tower, City of Mist
A young girl, unknown, hears the wind.
She reaches out.
A grey feather forms in the air.
She grasps it, trembling.
Girl (whispering):
“I hear you… Kael.”
4. A Rooftop in Aetherion, Nightfall
The assassin with the broken mask watches over the city.
The wind caresses her face.
She closes her eyes.
Her black feather turns… grey.
Assassin (to herself):
“You dared.
So perhaps… I can too.”
Return to Kael:
He opens his eyes.
The wind dances around him.
Grey feathers float in the air, arriving from afar.
He is no longer alone.
Kael (smiling faintly):
“So… you listen.”
