Sara finished changing Ray and thought to herself that she was getting much quicker at cleaning up with her magic and changing Ray.

  Sara(happily): [Ok little man, all done. Next, let’s get some food in your tummy, and if you are still awake after that, I’ll read you my book on magic.]

  She strolled to the rocking chair in the living-room and fed little Ray.

  Thinking it was so cute how he looked embarrassed whenever she changed or fed him, she gave a motherly smile.

  After the feeding was complete, she looked down and noticed Ray still looking wide awake.

  Sara(smiling): [Still awake I see. You must really want to hear about magic. What a smart young man.]

  Sara reached over to the side table and picked up "Beginner’s Guide to Magic and Practical Lifestyle Magic", beginning to read out loud.

  Sara(concentrating): [Welcome to the wonderful world of magic. In this book, we will go over what magic is, what mana is, how to manipulate mana, and finally some basic lifestyle magic so you can get started practicing your magic.]

  She read over knowledge and concepts that she had long ago, noting some that she had forgotten while reading to Ray.

  Not only would this help Ray, even if he may not understand it at the moment, but it also helped Sara.

  A couple of hours later, Ray was still awake and looked to be paying rapt attention.

  Sara was proud and knew that Ray would grow up to be a brilliant scholar at this rate, and vowed to continue reading to him if he kept looking this enthralled by it.

  John(happily, but slightly exhausted): [Hunny, I'm home.]

  Sara hadn't even noticed the time.

  She got up while holding Ray and they flounced over to greet her husband.

  Sara(chipper): [Welcome back dear.]

  She said, giving him a welcoming home kiss.

  Sara(chipper): [And look who's awake to greet you as well.]

  Holding Ray carefully but presenting him to John, Sara beamed up with a smile.

  John(quite, but happily): [Hey little guy, glad to see you up and awake.]

  John went to tickle little Ray when he had his finger grabbed by the little one.

  John(surprised and teary-eyed): [Wow, he's got quite the grip on him.]

  John thought to himself that the grip from Ray was quite strong.

  He looked up at Sara and smiled.

  John(slight stiff smile): [Glad he's doing well. I brought home dinner for us, from your favorite place.]

  Sara(smiling brightly): [Yay! Let's do!]

  Ray let go of John's finger as they headed to the dining room.

  Sara put Ray down in his carrier, before she and John set the table for dinner, celebrating their first together interactions with their son.

  After dinner, cleaning, and putting away dishes, Sara and John sat down on the couch in front of the fire, continuing to read their books.

  John with "Alie in Marvelland" and Sara picking back up the lifestyle magic book.

  When it got closer to bedtime for the two, John looked over at Sara with a bit of a lascivious grin.

  John(husky): [Should we put Ray to bed so I can give you a massage as a thank you for taking it easy the last few days?]

  Sara(blushing): [I would like that, but only a massage. I'm still a little sore.]

  John(with that kind of smile): [No problem, this is for you, to help you feel better and show my appreciation.]

  Sara, still blushing, went and put Ray down in his crib, while John went and got the healing massage oil.
