Azie
Azie shifted impatiently as she waited for someone to answer her Atlas summons. Atlas was usually very capable of indicating she wanted someone. Instead, though it was taking forever. It was her den she could very well just go inside if she wanted. But persons liked privacy. She didn’t understand it no one threatened to eat them so why did they need walls separating them?
Ara said that everyone needed moments alone and Azie had argued you could get that by climbing up high.
Azie through politeness to the wind when she heard a shout and a thump. She ducked into the rooms and narrowed in on the heart beats. Only one person and a frog. She followed the beating. She found the Goggles scampering up Atlas hopping up and down on the floor. When she stepped into the room he blipped to her shoulder.
“What happened?” She asked him. Atlas snapped his tongue to stick to her cheek. She looked at Goggles confused it was a very frog thing to do. “I sent Atlas to get you because it is rude to enter a person’s space without permission, but frogs seem to be forgiven for the transgression.” Azie informed him walking forward and standing in front of him. “Did I misunderstand in some way?” She asked. It was always possible. She preferred the person way to most things, but it wasn’t naturally her instinct to act as a person.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Goggles stared at her and once again his eyes shined like stars, and he licked his lips before speaking.
“It startled me.” He told her slowly. Azie considered that. She guessed it would be startling to wake up to a frog’s tongue on one’s face. She filed the reaction in the back of her mind to ask more persons about later. If need be, she could find a new Atlas summons tactic. She leaned forward and as she rarely did for others outside of Mama Bennet and Ara, she pecked his cheek. When she pulled back his eyes were blinking open.
“I’m sorry that we startled you.” She offered before standing. “Now you should get dressed so I can show you the information’s estate.” She informed him then went out to wait on the outside of their area.
There she started to list questions she’d need answers to later to Atlas who collected the information. The Shinta in this world who often took the form of Frogs because they were small and didn’t taste good to the Nori or the other larger beings of the world, never forgot things, even when they died and had to be reborn, quickly they remembered most everything about their past lives.
Though there were always a few days when they were clumsy and needed guidance and reminding.
