Sophia picked up Anna, Ari, Vivi, and Nina in the castle and decided to bring everyone, including Nathan, who she had been with before, to her mansion to pick up Maya and Luca there to tell them more about her portals and how to use them. After all, she offered the prince access to them during their travel to return home whenever they wanted, just like the girls do all the time, too.

  “Feeling better?” The group arrived at the mansion, and Sophia greeted Luca, who was with Maya, in the living room.

  “I’d say so.” The well-rested-looking cat-boy smiled at the tiger. “Meeting my parents again after so long really helped. I also slept rather well. Also, Maya told me that I’d lose if I were to succumb to your ridiculousness, and losing is not an option.”

  “Yep, definitely Maya’s brother.” Hearing that, any remaining doubts about their relation to each other immediately left Ari’s mind.

  "We never lose~." The cat-girl in question gave her a thumbs-up.

  “That really depends on the topic~.” Sophia couldn’t help it.

  “Shush!” She didn’t appreciate that.

  “Anyway, I’m sorry that I dumped so much on you yesterday.” Sophia awkwardly scratched her cheek. “Maya’s used to my shenanigans already, so I simply went full blast from the very beginning.”

  “It’s alright, I was just surprised.”

  “You’re such a baby!” Vivi walked up to him and stuck out her tongue. “Sophia also showed me lots of fantastical things, including a shiny and sparkly dragon the size of a mountain! Well, length of one, but you get me. I even had the honor of speaking with the overseer of magic, Mira! All that and I wasn’t overwhelmed for more than five minutes total!”

  “More like ten.” The blonde smiled at her.

  “Seven minutes top!” She disagreed with her.

  “Fair enough.” Sophia shrugged while letting out a chuckle. “You definitely dealt with it a lot better.”

  “Hehe.” Vivi stuck out her tongue once more as she looked at Luca. “Another victory for me!”

  “Urgh…”

  “They love to challenge each other, by the way.” Nina glanced at the blonde while saying so.

  "Couldn't have guessed that." She wasn't exactly surprised, as her reply was full of sarcasm.

  “That’s definitely a family trait on the cat side of things here.” Ari nodded a few times.

  “A healthy rivalry never is a bad thing~.” Sophia let out a chuckle. “Even so, I’ll try to be more careful when going into more detail today.”

  “There’s more?!” Luca didn’t like the sound of that.

  “More details on things, not necessarily new stuff.”

  “I see.”

  “What are those details?” Nathan really wanted to hear more about it already.

  “Don't worry, I’ll tell you~.” Saying so, the blonde got comfortable on the sofa next to Maya while urging the others to do the same.

  “What’s the plan?” Once everyone had found a seat, Maya looked at Sophia because she had been a little out of the loop, as she had been with her brother until now.

  “I talked lots of politics with Menzor, made some important promises and other things, and now I’m going to explain some stuff~.”

  “Eh…?” The cat-girl looked confused for a moment before staring at Ari. “Where was her supervision?!”

  "I also only found out about what she did after it happened!" She rapidly shook her head. "I had no chance to intervene. I had the same reaction, too.”

  “Okay, fine, if the damage’s already done, just go on.” Maya shrugged. “That’s enough plausible deniability on my end for the future.”

  “Thank you very much.” The blonde rolled her eyes before clapping her hands to get everyone’s attention. “Everyone here has some basic information about my portals already, while Vivi and Luca know more already.” She was only addressing Nathan and his group.

  “Is there really that much more to them?” The prince tilted his head. “They’re outrageous enough already, aren’t they?”

  “You have no idea.” Vivi shook her head.

  “She’s not exactly wrong.” Sophia smiled at Nathan. “The portal we used to get from the ocean to the capital and the ones we talked about with Menzor earlier are a special version that works differently from what I usually use.”

  “How so?” He tilted his head.

  "I'm not sure anymore if I told it to someone specific here or to everyone, but my portals usually all link to the same place and not to each other. I have to manually connect them so that one can go from one place to another.”

  "Wait, they usually all go to the same place?” Nathan repeated what he heard while looking confused. “Where is that, then?”

  “Glad you asked!” Sounding happy that she didn’t have to do the transition, Sophia gave him a cheeky thumbs-up. “I was about to show you all, so this is perfect~.”

  “I suddenly have a bad feeling about this.”

  “A fitting reaction to this.” Ari nodded while looking in Nathan’s direction.

  “Take a look at this.” While saying so, Sophia opened a portal big enough to cover an entire wall of the living room they were in. Inside, everything was just a bright pure white.

  “If I had known we'd go there again today, I would've brought some sunglasses." Vivi, who had already been in that part of the domain, didn't like the view.

  “Wait, that’s such a good idea!” Maya got a little excited over that. “Why haven’t I thought about that yet?!”

  "I thought you loved all things white?" Anna tilted her head while looking at the white-haired cat-girl, who fittingly chose her all-white dress for today.

  “That’s different!” She shook her head. “I don’t burn your eyes, do I?”

  “No, you’re actually rather pleasing to the eyes." The princess could follow her logic.

  “Ehehe.”

  “Smooth.” The puma-girl seemed impressed by that.

  "What is that?" Nathan was doing an above-average job of not getting sidetracked as he pointed at the insides of the portal.

  “This is my domain.” Sophia looked at him again. “All my portals always lead to this place first before I reroute them.”

  “Your what now?” It naturally didn’t make any sense to him.

  “My domain.” Her expression turned a little cheekier. “I basically have my own world on the other side of my portals. I can skip that world, though, and mush them together, so the portals directly go from one place to another.”

  “Come again…?” Nathan got only more confused. “Did you, uhh… Did you just say that you have your own world?”

  “It’s still a bit of a work in progress, but that’s what I said, yes~.”

  “Don’t you think your imagination is running a bit wild?” He couldn’t follow her.

  “Sometimes, it definitely does.” The blonde couldn’t really refute that. “I don’t really see how that would be important here, though.”

  “You’re just pointing at an all-white nothing while claiming it’s your own world. What else but an overly wild imagination am I supposed to call it?”

  “She’s telling the truth.” Vivi scratched her cheek while looking at the prince. “Sophia showed me her domain yesterday, and it’s definitely a different world. It’s amazing!”

  “There’s just no way magic is capable of doing such a thing as creating a world!” He didn’t believe her.

  “How often did you say that already since meeting me yesterday?” Sophia just smiled at him.

  “There are limits, though!”

  "Yup." She nodded. "Your imagination is your limit if you have the power to back it up.” The blonde then stared right at him. “You just said it yourself that my imagination runs a bit wild, right? So, here we are~.”

  “But…”

  “It’s okay to not believe me. In fact, if I were in your shoes and without the knowledge about magic I have, I think I wouldn't believe myself, either.” The blonde still couldn’t blame him for his reaction to the topic. “However, I’m not telling you about it. I opened the portal to show it to you. We’re going to step through it, and I’ll give you a small tour. Afterward, you can tell me if you’re still doubting it.”

  “You want me to go to a different world?!” It was Nina’s time to share her doubts.

  “I sure do~.” Sophia nodded in her direction.

  “You absolutely have to!” Vivi grabbed her girlfriend’s hand and squeezed. “That place is amazing! Sophia also has a super pretty cherry blossom forest in there that we need to explore and have to have a date in!”

  “And just like that, I’m in!” Nina changed her mood rather quickly.

  “You have much to learn from your older sister!” Hearing that, Sophia smirked in Ari’s direction.

  “Shush!” The black-haired jaguar glared back at her. “If the idea is good, I’m usually in, as well, and you know that!"

  “Well, fair enough.” She couldn’t deny that. “You should agree more when it’s a stupid idea, too~.”

  “We enable you enough already.” Ari shook her head.

  “Grr.” Not liking that, Sophia shook her head before looking at Nathan once more. “How about it? Want to learn that I always follow up on my words? Ready to see my playground? The destination of the portals and my proudest accomplishment related to magic?”

  “I can only say yes there, can I?” Nathan shrugged. "Not only because I would be an even bigger scaredy cat than Luca if I didn't, but you also got me too curious."

  “Oi!” The cat-boy in question didn’t appreciate catching strays in this situation.

  “Oho, I’m starting to like the prince.” Everyone who teases her brother is a friend in Maya’s book.

  “Oii!” He liked that even less. “Next time I get the chance, I’ll collect a bunch of ladybugs, and we’ll see who the scaredy cat is between us!”

  “Not if I end you before that!”

  “Calm down, you two idiots.” Sophia rolled her eyes while looking at them.

  Once she got everyone’s attention, Sophia lightly clapped her hands before pointing at the massive portal in front of them. While Nathan and Nina were slightly reluctant, because it was their first time entering the domain, everyone eventually stepped through it to explore the other side.
