Tianyi watched Daoyi perform as he leaned on the wall behind the stage, his presence perfectly masked. This gave him a unique view of the performance. Of course, Tianyi also had a frontal view. He had placed several conduits all around the venue in case of any accidents.
While preparing for the concert, Tianyi realized that even if he gathered all the servant-disciples of the Heavenly Immortal Court, it would not be enough to entertain all the concert-goers. The only way he could do so was to recruit from all branches of the Heavenly Immortal Court, but that was obviously impossible.
Cultivators weren’t aristocrats who needed servants at their beck and call. Most of the servant-disciples performed menial tasks, and some peak lords did not allow servant-disciples in their territory unless the situation required it. Some did not even have a steward like the former Jade Peak.
So the number of disciples had almost always outnumbered the servant-disciples, aside from a few exceptions at particular branches.
So Tianyi thought of another method—puppets. He had actually made a few here and there, but they were never his focus. So throughout the hundreds of thousands of years, he only had a small amount in storage—far from enough to entertain all the immortal guests at the concert.
That wasn’t a problem. Tianyi simply needed to make more. With his experience from creating angels and forging golems, his mastery over puppetry instantly soared when he tried his hand at the art again. Even though he wasn’t aiming high, the first few he made were at the true immortal level.
Immortal-level puppets were too much for just entertaining guests, so Tianyi reduced the quality of the materials and the complexity of the puppet and process. Except for the core, which held their programming, everything was at the standard of a venerable. In his eyes, the venerable level was just enough. Going any weaker would actually take too much effort from him to weaken. After that, he started mass-producing the venerable puppets.
The Xiyinet would automatically tally the level of each ticket holder, but to prevent an accident, Tianyi still made some extra. And the extras didn’t go unused—they were the ones he deployed to lead the mortal cultivators on the second level to their spots.
Tianyi thought about teleporting them directly to their seats, but that might lead to a sense of unrealism and make them unable to concentrate on the concert itself. So, he devised this extra step—a ritual, if you will.
The head ties, badges, coats, and other goodies were actually Daoyi’s idea. Since she insisted on them, Tianyi obliged.
Making them for the mortals wasn’t an issue. Tianyi could just conjure some common materials in the Nine Heavens Universe before crafting them into the desired shape and color. He could even manifest the finished product if he wanted to.
The problem came for the immortals attending the concert. If he gave them the same goodies as the mortals, ninety-nine point nine percent of them would consider it junk. Even the cultivators below the Immortal Realm might consider it junk.
Although they only made up around one percent of the attendees, they held the most weight—especially in Tianyi and Daoyi’s circle. If they became dissatisfied because of the junk they received, it would reflect badly on Daoyi, so Tianyi had to find some decent-quality materials as a basis for the production of the goods. Unlike the goods for the mortals, they couldn’t be conjured from dust in his inner universe. Tianyi actually had to uproot and gather the materials from specific planets.
Mining the ores was the easy part. What gave him trouble were the strands required to sew the coats.
Despite hundreds of thousands of years since the birth of the Nine Heavens Universe, life was still in its infancy outside of the central solar system. Most habitable planets had not given birth to animals yet, and most only had plants.
Thankfully, Tianyi remembered that there was a strand known as lotus silk on Earth. Just as its name suggested, the silk came from a lotus plant and not some animal. Although he didn’t find any lotus at a high enough level with similar properties, he did find one such bamboo.
He named the immortal-level root the Silk Bamboo.
But that was straying off-topic. The point was, Tianyi found a suitable material. He didn’t do any major processing and simply shaped the end product with the materials and colored it. If he crafted them into artifacts, their cost would have increased by at least tenfold, but then the goods would be far too valuable for a souvenir.
Tianyi didn’t think of making all the goods at the level of true immortal. He had also considered what Mi Fengsi thought and did not want immortals hunting down the mortal concert-goers for their souvenirs. As for the cultivators below the Immortal Realm, they were around the Core Formation level.
The difference in realm compared to the immortals was too vast. The mortal cultivators ranged from Transcending Mortality Saints to Foundation Establishment disciples. Going too high would be detrimental, but making it too low made it seem cheap. And Tianyi did not want to craft different levels for the mortal cultivators, so he settled on it being around the Core Formation level.
In the current Primordial Realm, Core Formation-level items weren’t something easily thrown away, but neither were they something people would kill for. Even if a Core Formation or Acupoint Opening master saw a treasure at the Core Formation level in a Qi Gathering pupil’s possession, he wouldn’t rob it—well, orthodox ones at least.

Well, these two aspects were just some of the many preparations Tianyi had to do. Even if they were among the more troublesome ones, he was happy to have something to divert his attention.
Although Tianyi was integral to planning everything, he remained in the dark about the songs in the schedule. If he wanted to, he could learn, but Tianyi wanted to enjoy it like the audience, so he deliberately distanced himself from anything that could spoil it. He even told everyone to do their utmost to hide it from him.
Still, he got spoiled because his divine sense was too strong and accidentally heard it a few times. The opening song was not among the songs he had been spoiled about.
The sentimental song surprised Tianyi, as it was not something he thought Daoyi would sing. Then again, Daoyi had surprised him many times in the past year. He had seen more surprises from her in the past year than in the past hundreds of thousands of years together.
Tianyi could sense the Divine Law of Life and Death in Daoyi’s song. She had not consciously imbued the song with such an effect, but at the Divine Realm, a divinity’s actions would be filled with the power of laws. Divinities could be considered physical manifestations of the law.
The song would not affect him, but it would unconsciously draw and influence those too weak of will or just too weak in terms of realm. Just look at the mortals and cultivators below the Immortal Realm. All of them were mired in memories of their past. The immortals were better, but they could not help but recall their early days.
Tianyi also allowed himself to reminisce. The Divine Law of Life and Death was ineffective for him. For Tianyi, it was the words that evoked his memories more.
His memories of his days on Earth had become fuzzy, but he could still recall the important times in his life. Though, recalling was not the same as remembering. At this point, he could still visualize his mom’s face, but he didn’t know if his reconstruction was exactly the same.
He leaned toward the latter. His reconstruction of his mom’s face shared too many similarities with his mother, Mengfei. Sometimes, the two images overlapped in his mind, making it hard to differentiate.
Compared to his memories of Earth, Tianyi could recall his second childhood in the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System more clearly. Perhaps it was because he had embarked on the road of cultivation, the shock of reincarnating, or the imperfection of his self-created Nine-Five Scripture and the trouble that came along with it, but his identity as Xi Tianyi had superseded his sense of belonging to his first life.
Tianyi felt some regret, but what was life without regrets?
Daoyi’s opening ended after a few minutes. Silence filled the venue as the audience was still embroiled in the song. Although people without regret existed, they were too rare. As such, somberness filled the air. Even the audience who weren’t melancholic couldn’t help but be affected by the atmosphere.
Of course, Daoyi wouldn’t let the somberness continue. It was her concert—the very first one in her second life—and it held deep meaning for her.
“Everyone, thank you for coming to my first concert.” Daoyi’s words were like a pebble thrown onto a lake’s calm surface, instantly shattering the somber air. She continued to speak, raising the atmosphere as easily as flipping a palm.
With the audience filled with excitement and anticipation, Daoyi started her second song. Compared with her first song, it was significantly more upbeat and told the story of rising up and perseverance. For the cultivation world, it was undoubtedly a suitable song. It held neither the effeminate nature belonging to the fairer sex nor overwhelming masculinity. It was simply a balanced song that could be applied to everyone.
The audience that resonated the most with this song was naturally the cultivators. Still, it didn’t mean that the song and tune did not apply to mortals. The song did not specify cultivation, just perseverance and rise. Even a mortal would have to carve a way out in the business world, which sometimes contained more dangers than a bloody battlefield—just not as obvious.
All in all, it was a successful song, raising the atmosphere of the concert to a new peak. Daoyi had a featured guest for the third song—the Eighteen Flower Fairies. Their arrival pushed the atmosphere to an even higher peak.
The Eighteen Flower Fairies were a famous group in the Primordial Realm and even the entire Three Thousand Immortal Realms System. Compared to their fame when the Heavenly Immortal Court was still the Buzhou Immortal Sect, it was like comparing the light of a firefly to the moon.
Even mortals had heard of the Eighteen Flower Fairies in the new myths of the Heavenly Immortal Court. Everyone was excited. They came for Sovereign Thrallsong, but they also got to see the Eighteen Flower Fairies!
Song after song flowed from the stage, enamoring the audience. Even the immortals could not help but move and marvel at the stars on the stage. Were it not for the intermission, the audience would have loved to continue watching the show.
Although the cultivators could watch the performance nonstop for days, the mortals could not.
The floating mountain was full of spiritual qi, far above the norm in density. Even if a mortal just lived on the land without cultivating, they would be in perfect health and live to their maximum lifespan dictated by their genes without getting ill. That was not enough to allow them to stay up continuously. Even the formation Tianyi engraved on the ground could not counteract that without harming their foundation.
So, a break was necessary. The mortals were guided to a cafeteria where they were given free refreshments. Even though the ingredients were of the lowest grade, they were still something served for cultivators, so it was a rare event and fortune for these mortals. Those who ate would have their health improved and even eliminate hidden dangers.
Because a large portion of the audience had to take a break, the concert came to a halt for the immortals and cultivators on the second level. Tianyi didn’t neglect them either and had his puppets bring food and refreshments.
Mi Fengsi discovered another platter filled with rare spiritual fruits like the Life Peach. None of the immortals complained, especially with the gifts. It made them realize that they had hit the jackpot. Just by coming, they could increase their wealth by tens of percent, and the gifts were things wealth alone couldn’t purchase. Only through wealth and connections could they get these rarities.
After the mortals had had their rest and filled their stomachs, the concert resumed.
The songs continued until dinnertime, when the first day of the concert ended. During this time, none of the mortals had to take a bathroom break. Tianyi’s formations completely disintegrated the food they had eaten before coming here into pure nutrients, not to mention the spiritual food they consumed, which would not leave behind any waste.
Just as they had come, everyone left through portals. Tomorrow, Tianyi would invite them back through the same process.
