After her third and final scenario victory, the day was mostly over. A few minutes later, they were booted to the real world. After taking a minute to stretch and reorient, she headed to the gym.

  She spent an hour there, then headed back to look over the manual, and read a book. Then, 2 hours later she went to bed. When morning came, they were called to a surprise inspection.

  The Colonel stood in front of us, and just studied us for a bit. He sighed, and began to speak. "Training is being accelerated. Instead of another week and a half of VR and tests, you get to use the real thing." He said. No one looked happy.

  "The reason being, is that we have lost another world much sooner then anticipated, and two more are under siege. We need every man and woman capable to join the front as quickly as possible. That includes you all." He said.

  "There will be 1 final test, then your off to qualifications. If you fail either, your out. You will have the opportunity to join the next batch of trainees in that case. Anyhow, the test starts in 10 minutes, do your best. That will be all." He said. He saluted, then walked off.

  The rest of us relaxed, and began looking around and talking. Most of there people now were recently recruited. They didn't have the right knowledge to realize how fucked things were, and how normal what he just said was.

  She sighed, and began to head to the testing location. This put a damper on everyone's mood. It was going so well too. A chance to relax and do something cool as fuck, forget about the war for a second...

  ...well, no use moping. She had a duty to do, for the unsc and humanity both.
