~ Unsent letter found on the underside of a Bahlocaw’s tail ~
Dear ma and pa,
I was told that just by walking, I would be able to reach him. “Walk the path” they said. “Follow his steps, there is LIGHT at the end!” Strength and power is what they promised me, and yes, I wished to be more than just a blade smith’s apprentice. Can you blame me for dreaming of adventure and freedom?
What a delusional fool I was.
67 days in and I haven’t seen one sight of this so-called “God of Paths”. You know what I have seen though?

3 lunar priests fighting over the right to marry a moon.
A falling star wrapped in vines singing through the night sky.
I even once had a griffin flip me off for blocking its view of a reborn sun.
There were bad times too, I guess. But I wish not to write of them in this letter.
No sign! No path! No way to tell where I need to go. I don't even feel any stronger than before, maybe a bit more tired honestly…
Well a few nights ago, I passed a man resting by a fire. He asked if I had any spare bread or honey. I said no, where would I even get honey in this place, we were in the middle of the Boilvine Fields!!
He then smiles, stretches his back, and pulls out a kettle to lay by the fire. Before taking off his boots, he goes and mutters to the stars:
“Tea always goes best with honey, that’s what I’ve been told…” What an odd fellow I tell you.
I did grab a cup of tea when offered at least. It smelled like the smith back home.
…I miss it.
Yours, forever,
Geralt
