The Awakening of the Azure Soul

The moon was playing pranks on the stars in the sky, the clouds were busy trying to hide the moon, a gentle breeze was blowing in a tranquil manner, and the same tranquility pervaded Mo Yan's room. Ai Yin was sitting at the table, playing with a ball of white yarn. Mo Yan sat serenely beside him. He looked at his side, where Yu Sui was sitting with his head on his shoulder, watching Ai Yin's playful antics. In a corner of the room lay a few roses. Their fragrance permeated the air, bringing sweet peace, as if a waterfall, after centuries of noise, had found peace after merging into a calm lake.

But for the first time, nowhere else was there a peace as sweet as Mo Yan's room.

The other disciples were still busy searching for the dangerous snake around the lotus pond, as if it were their duty. In contrast, Duie and Su Nian sat quietly under the bamboo trees.

Dui feigned a headache, while Su Nian feigned a sprained ankle. Even though their lips remained silent, their eyes spoke a secret message without looking at each other, their souls listening to each other's heartbeats.

When Su Nian had asked Bao Fang some time ago about how to confess his feelings to a girl, in reality, that day, when Su Nian had asked Bao Fang for advice on how to confess his love... it wasn't for a girl, but for someone with whom her very being was connected, who was the reason for her breathing... it was because of that advice that this peaceful moment had come today.

Meanwhile, in Mo Yan's room, Ai Yin was creating havoc on the table with his wild mischief when suddenly Ai Yin bumped into Yu Sui's flute, which was lying on the table, almost causing it to fall. However, as the flute slid down the edge of the table, Mo Yan caught it from below before it could hit the ground.

Mo Yan put the flute back in its place, picked up a blank sheet from the table, placed it in front of him, and began writing on it with a pen. The movement of his fingers matched his deep breathing so well, as if his hands were masters of penmanship. Just then, Yu Sui, who had been sleeping with his head on Mo Yan's shoulder, opened his eyes. Yu Sui saw Mo Yan writing something on the paper. But as Mo Yan watched, as he finished writing, Yu Sui suddenly sat up straight and stared at the page. A smile flashed in his eyes, but his face was also filled with a struggle to understand. When Mo Yan lifted his hand and pen from the page, he clearly saw the words written in the Chwen language, "Vixion taun du jo zhaio sko."

The same textual melody that Mo Yan had once sent to Yu Sui in the Black Heaven, Yu Sui remembered those words so well that just looking at them brought the textual melody back to him, as if a feeling was awakening. But just when Yu Sui snapped out of his reverie and truly understood the meaning behind those verbal melodies, his face suddenly turned red, his fists clenched his own clothes tightly, but Mo Yan glanced at Yu Sui's hands, and this sensitive gesture of Yu Sui's brought a slight smile to Mo Yan's lips, which Yu Sui noticed once again, causing Yu Sui to get up in a flustered state, pick up ai yin, and in a soft and gentle tone, walk to the closed door with a fake anger.

Though there was no trace of anger or resentment in his eyes, for he had recited this melody before... many times, even at the academy... but this time Mo Yan had added something else to it. Something that was just for him. Or maybe something that Yu Sui hadn't even expected. Yu Sui looked back at Mo Yan with a mixture of surprise and affection, only to have a strange feeling as if Mo Yan, too, was gazing at him, not just at him but at his true soul. And Mo Yan, with a calm, captivating smile on his face, had a smile that captivated Yu Sui's soul... not with lust, but with a silent seal of love.

Just then, Mo Yan stood up and walked towards him with calm steps, standing in front of him. And Yu Sui , his heart as usual, couldn't handle Mo Yan's closeness. Just then, Mo Yan took a step forward and, in a heavy yet gentle tone, said with the same smile, "I know, that you know the meaning of that melody. I just need your answer."

But somehow, as Mo Yan spoke these words, his lips moved toward Yu Sui's and met.

They didn't realize when or how their souls were ready to meet again.

Ai Yin broke free from Yu Sui's soft grip and ran across the room to his bed, and Yu Sui's breath began to turn into a storm. In their embrace, the world around them seemed to disappear. But then, when Yu Sui, his arms around Mo Yan's neck, looked into his eyes, he calmed down for a moment. For the first time, the Celestial Blue Devil within Mo Yan was awakened by Yu Sui's closeness. The pupils of Mo Yan's eyes shone like the blue moonlight. This wasn't lust... because lust always offers fleeting gifts, regardless of the other's desires. This wasn't that. This was a love so deep, so pure, that their souls were so completely devoted to each other that their true natures were beginning to be revealed... But Yu Sui accepted it too, and expressed her acceptance by touching Mo Yan's lips, and once again, they were united, not just in this life, but for lifetimes to come.

Their physical union wasn't a desire of the flesh, but a sacred language whispered between souls.

"If you are, I am. If you are not, I am not."

That night, two bound souls were reunited.

A light breeze blew through the room, causing a piece of paper to fall from the table. Written in the Chwen language was "Vixion taun du jo zhaio sko."

Only a few people in the entire academy understood its meaning.

And among them... were Duie and Su Nian.
