The unit was shocked after hearing of the Eurasians' side of the 10-year long struggle against the Harbingers. However, they have no time to rest as they are targeted by one of the monsters themselves.
"Load the missile pods with Thermites and Plowders, fire all weapons at will!", ordered the Deputy Chief.
"Dorothy, connect our transmission to the Aegis."
"Understood, Captain."
"Rinmann, I need you to go ahead of the Challengers, make them support you. The enemy seems to be a speed type, keep that in mind."
"Got it, Captain!", Suzina replied.
The Harbinger then slowed down to a halt, and as predictable as can be, it opened its jaw, revealing a beam weapon. The unit, being well aware of this, quickly managed to fire a barrage of shells and missiles that distracted the machine.
However, damage was still minimal, being limited to a few tears in the enemy's wings.
Suddenly, out of the smoke from the explosions, the Aegis appeared and charged with its rapier at full speed.
However, Suzina was shocked to see that she had missed, the enemy hod dodged her attack.
Now, the Harbinger was in the perfect position and kicked the mecha in one powerful blast, sending it away.
Thankfully as they had observed, this particular Harbinger was no armor-type, that in fact, plasma cannons were able to damage it unlike the one back in Brighton.
"Rinmann, are you alright?"
"Yes, Captain. I'm still alive. But that one is very different from the one before."
The Aegis then soon got back up again and attempted another charge at the Harbinger, yet it managed to dodge it again and counterattack.
Sparks flew as the talons of the harbinger scratched the Aegis' armor.
Then, Suzina tried changing her angle, this time, she was to strike from above.
"What's so different with you!?", Rinmann shouted as she jumped her vehicle high then boosted in a forward dash, causing a loud bang.
But despite her vehicle going top speed, the Harbinger still could see it coming.
With precision, the monster dodged the rapier and then prepared to fire the beam cannons on its wing. It all happened so fast, but to Suzina, it felt like ages.
Then, there was a flash, then a loud blast, she managed to blow off part of the wing of the enemy with her new forearm plasma cannons, knocking it back and saving her life.

"Looks like I managed to use Sir Frank's add-on."
However, it was no way near enough to eliminate the Harbinger.
The enemy then prepared an attack Suzina was not prepared for.
Above the entire battlefield, it planned to use its wing-mounted beam cannons to send a barrage back to the NADUR forces.
As she prepared to dodge these rounds, Justin managed to aim his Challenger's plasma cannon at the enemy.
His hands grew sweaty over the trigger.
Then, there was a flash, and then a beam of superheated plasma cut through the sky to hit the enemy.
Gas melted the armor of the Harbinger, refusing it the ability to fire.
"Suzina, are you allright?"
"Yea I can, thanks Justin.", Suzina said as she gathered herself to prepare a counterattack.
Her will was unmatched.
However, it was clear that inside the cockpit of the Aegis, she was exhausted, her breathing had gone heavy and she was having some trouble tightening her grip on the controls.
Still, she wanted to convince herself that she could still fight, and there you could say she succeeded.
She charged at the enemy with her rapier once again and the Harbinger predicted the same move again.
However, Rinmann wasn't going to let the same mistake happen again.
The AI immediately calculated a dodge. But it couldn't ever predict that it wasn't the only one that could predict.
As it dodged left, it was greeted by a rapier to its talons, causing it to be knocked back.
It is an important reminder that while this battle was happening, the rest of the unit was attempting to support her in any way.
Challengers on the ground provided artillery and anti-air, FOBPAs aided with beam weaponry and the Nova was still using its missiles and cannons against the Harbinger which have all done a significant amount of damage to the enemy,
However, as a last resort, the Raven-like Harbinger opened its beak once again, using whatever power it had left to charge its beam cannon.
Then there was a flash, and then a beam of light barreling towards the ship.
However, those in the ship found themselves still alive.
Somehow, Rinmann, almost seized by instinct, had blocked the attack mere meters away from the bridge.
After 3 seconds that felt like 3 lifetimes, the beam ended and the Aegis fell to the ground.
Inside the cockpit lied an unconscious pilot that had basically sacrificed herself to save the entire unit.
The captain was shocked, she could not believe Suzina would take extreme measures like this just to save them.
But the opportunity could not be wasted, and she ordered a barrage of fire from the Challengers and FOBPAs to hit the enemy.
However, without the Aegis they could no longer keep the enemy from avoiding them.
Eleanor then ordered that the Aegis be retrieved from the battlefield as early as possible to preserve the vehicle as much as possible.
In Hangar 3...
Justin rushed to the front of the heavily damaged Aegis.
"Suzina!", he called out.
"Justin..?"
Justin was horrified to see just how much she was hit by the beam from the Harbinger as she was taken away via stretcher to the ship Medi-lab.
"She was hit pretty badly huh, well, there goes our only chance of winning this battle.'
"Don't you be saying that! Somehow, we can do this. I just know it!", replied Justin to Jolina.
But still, Justin was emotionally impacted as to how much his friend had been hurt, he decided to himself he could not let this happen again.
Meanwhile back in the bridge...
"Captain, the Aegis has been retrieved, however, we are fighting a losing battle at this rate!", the radar operator reported.
Eleanor was in a state of trouble, she was thinking and thinking but no solution to this problem came to mind.
And she was horrified to see that once again; the Harbinger had its sights on the Nova. This time, she knew it was really over, that she really could not prove to HQ the worth of the unit.
As the beam cannon in the beak of the enemy lit up again, there was a flash, yet once again, they were still alive.
"You're welcome for being saved Westerners. We are the Eurasians, nice to meet you."
