‘I thought my death was certain today when I saw these two Spirits approaching me.’
Shivansh said while looking at Vijay and Sharv’s Master. Then his gaze shifted toward Sharv.
‘But Spirits working together is almost impossible. Spirits never cooperate with each other, they only think about devouring one another, about consuming each other’s energies. Staying side by side, that too when the other’s rank is one level lower? Humph! Impossible. That’s when I understood for sure that these two must be someone’s spirit servants.’
As soon as Shivansh realized that these two Spirits were someone’s spirit servants, he assumed it must be the work of some girl. Perhaps a disciple of the Fourth Elder.
Just a short while ago, he had fought with the Fourth Elder’s wife’s Spirit. But he had tricked her and escaped from her grasp, though in the process, he had been severely injured.
When he sensed Vijay and Sharv’s Master approaching, he thought he had fallen into the Fourth Elder’s trap.
Ever since Shivansh had become a Spirit, he had tried multiple times to kill the Fourth Elder. Because of that, he had repeatedly clashed with the Fourth Elder or his wife’s Spirit, interfered in their work, and disrupted their ritual process.
As a result, the Fourth Elder’s wife had been relentlessly chasing him. The Fourth Elder and his wife had tried many times to capture Shivansh, but he always managed to escape.
How?
Because Shivansh possessed a unique technique through which he could freeze a person’s Spirit in its place for a short period of time.
And how did he obtain that technique?
In truth, he had acquired it from the Fourth Elder’s own base. His luck was twisted in a good way, the Fourth Elder himself didn’t even know that such a technique had ever been in his possession.
This technique originally belonged to the great-great-great-great grandfather's relatives. In the past, the Fourth Elder’s great-great-great-great grandfather killed that relative and seized the technique, using it extensively during his time.
But as time passed, the technique was lost within their family records. In between, the Fourth Elder’s family weakened, and his great grandfather had fought against the descendants of that same relative.
He lost the battle and was killed. After that, the Fourth Elder and his family assumed that the technique had been taken away by that relative’s family, since they could no longer find it.
But that wasn’t the truth.
The real truth was that after the death of the Fourth Elder’s great-great grandfather, the technique hadn’t been lost at all it had simply remained hidden within their own family archives, lying quietly among their other techniques.
If they had made even a slight effort to search for it, they might have found it. But since they believed they had already lost it, they never tried to look for it again. And that mistake cost them dearly later on.
Because when Shivansh was at the Fourth Elder’s base on his very first day there, with the intention of killing him he accidentally discovered that technique.
Its name was—Sovereign Soul Bind.
With this technique, he could restrain someone’s Spirit, whether it resided inside a human body or outside for a small period of time. Like a statue.
It was because of this technique that Shivansh had managed to save himself so many times over the years from the hands of the Fourth Elder and his wife.
‘Haa... Sovereign Soul Bind is a very good technique. But its drawback is that it also slows down the speed of my own Spirit for a short time.’
Shivansh thought to himself. When he saw Vijay and Sharv’s Master approaching today, he felt that perhaps this time he had fallen into their trap.
Maybe the Fourth Elder had taken the help of one of his disciples, or perhaps other Spirits, to deal with him.
But the moment he saw Sharv, that suspicion almost disappeared. However, when he noticed that Sharv could see him, he found it a little strange.
Then Sharv revealed the Death prana and Lunar energy within him. Feeling that, Shivansh was stunned.
If Sharv had only made him feel his Lunar energy, Shivansh would have assumed that Sharv had taken Lunar energy through castration.
But Death prana? It was difficult to explain how Death prana could exist inside a living body.
From this, Shivansh understood one thing clearly.
Sharv either had a method to cultivate Death prana within his body, or perhaps his body itself was special enough to cultivate Death prana.
‘I do not know how you obtained Death prana... but hehe! This makes my work even easier. Now I just need to take over your body and kill the Fourth Elder. Your body has Lunar energy, and if what you said is true and your third eye is already opening, then even better. There could not be a more suitable body for a Spirit than yours!’

Shivansh said softly while looking at Sharv. In truth, this was his plan. When he saw everything Sharv possessed, the idea came to his mind that if he took over Sharv’s body, his task would become much easier.
Of course, he would have to endure great difficulty in maintaining Sharv’s body, since it was not originally his. But he did not care.
He only needed that body to take revenge on the Fourth Elder. Earlier as well, Shivansh had tried to possess other human bodies in order to kill him, but he could never remain inside any body for more than a week.
After one week, the body would begin to rot and decay. A foul smell would spread. Bones would start becoming visible. In some cases, black blood would ooze out from every opening of the body.
With these symptoms, anyone could easily tell that it was a dead body under the possession of a Spirit.
That is why Spirits must be extremely careful while using someone else’s body. They must take thirty times more care of that body than the original soul would have needed to.
Because of this, no Spirit can remain inside a body for more than a week, since they cannot properly maintain it. Let alone try to cultivate in that body.
Maintenance does not require just food and water, but also pills, herbs, elixirs, and various other resources. Obtaining those resources is very difficult.
This was one of the reason why Sharv’s Master had not taken over Sharv's body earlier, even when she had the chance.
But Shivansh’s situation was different. He fully understood the present time, and his final wish was such that he did not need to leave the Crimson Heaven Society.
His goal could be fulfilled while remaining within it, if he took over Sharv’s body.
And as for maintaining Sharv’s body, he would manage somehow.
‘If I take over his body and go to Saksham, he will definitely recognize me. Then the problem of maintenance will also be solved.’
Shivansh thought. Over these seven years, he had watched Saksham rise to the position of Death Hall Master.
But once, late at night, when he had tried to appear before him in his true Spirit form, things had not gone as he had expected.
The moment Saksham saw him, he was shocked and then fainted. In his unconscious state, he began sobbing and screaming in fear.
Seeing that, Shivansh’s heart trembled. After that incident, he never went to meet him again in his Spirit form.
If he took over Sharv’s body now, and gradually approached Saksham, then later revealed his true Spirit form, perhaps... perhaps Saksham would be able to control himself this time.
While thinking about all this, Shivansh almost began to cry. He wiped his eyes with his fingers, then stepped toward Sharv, placed his hand on his forehead, and said,
‘Let’s first kill your consciousness. After that, your Spirit will die on its own.’
Hearing this, Sharv became fearful. He can't even move, what if his consciousness is also affected by this technique, then what will he do?
He really wanted to escape from here, but he was unable to. He couldn’t do anything except stand there and get devoured by Shivansh.
‘Hey! What do you mean? You... what are you doing?!’
Vijay shouted while trying to move. Because if Shivansh killed Sharv, then along with Sharv, both Vijay and Sharv’s Master would also perish, since they were his spirit servants.
But they too could do nothing except speak. Vijay and Sharv’s Master were in the same condition. Completely still, like stone.
‘Shuu! Shuu! Stay quiet and let me concentrate. I do not want to do this myself, but I am forced by circumstances. I need my revenge. For Master, for Devika, for my friends, and for Saksham. I...’
He began muttering, as if searching for words to justify his actions. Vijay grew extremely anxious. He sharpened his gaze toward Sharv and his Master. Both of them were silent, as if they had already accepted their deaths.
‘No! No! No!!! I still have to fulfill my final wish!’
Vijay panicked inwardly. Shivansh continued.
‘...Haa! Leave it... just... forgive me, but I am helpless too... From my side, for the last time, to you three... ? ????(Om Shat)...’
He was still speaking when suddenly...
Tak!
‘?!’
Shivansh’s body suddenly slammed into the ground, as if an immense weight had been placed upon him.
‘Humph! You thought you could bind me with a low level technique like Sovereign Soul Bind... Nonsense!’
Sharv’s Master said. Right now, through her gravitational power, she had forced Shivansh down.
An overwhelming gravity pressed upon him, slamming him into the ground.
Then, Sharv’s Master suddenly began walking as if Sovereign Soul Bind had no effect on her at all.
Hearing her slow footsteps, Shivansh’s eyes widened in disbelief.
‘How?! Sovereign Soul Bind lasts at least 10 minutes. Not even 5 minutes have properly passed yet!’
Sharv’s Master lifted her leg and stomped on Shivansh’s head.
Pak! CRACK!
‘AHHHHH!!!’
Shivansh screamed. She had not even stomped with full force. It was relatively light. Yet the moment her foot touched his head, his skull began sinking into the ground under tremendous pressure.
The pressure was so intense that if he had possessed a physical body instead of a Spirit form, his head would have already been crushed into pulp.
‘You were using Sovereign Soul Bind, right? Now enjoy its taste yourself.’
Sharv’s Master said. Then she formed several hand seals. Some of them were the very same seals Shivansh had used earlier, some were new in them.
After finishing the combination of seals, she lifted her foot, and the crushing pressure disappeared.
However, Shivansh still could not move.
He tried to move his body, but he could not. At first, he thought it was because of the pressure he had just endured. But soon he realized that was not the case.
‘When I was under that strange pressure, at least I could still move my limbs. But now... now I cannot even do that! T-this... This only Sovereign Soul Bind can do this! B-but... but how! H-how do you know about it?!’
Shivansh demanded. He didn't expect that one, upon whom he had used the technique already knew it beforehand. Hearing this, Sharv’s Master chuckled and said.
‘Hehe!.. Fool. How I know about it is none of your concern. Instead, try to stop what I am about to do.’
Saying this, she placed her hand behind Shivansh and began absorbing his energy into herself.
‘!!!’
Feeling this, Shivansh panicked. He tried to rise but could not. He tried to move his hands, but they would not respond.
‘No! Stop! STOP! DON'T DO THIS! I BEG YOU! Make me your spirit servant instead, but do not do this!!! NO!!!’
He kept screaming, but no one listened. Gradually, Sharv’s Master continued absorbing his energy. The density of Shivansh’s Spirit body began to decrease. His end was near.
As that moment approached, his eyes filled with tears. He remembered the old days with, Saksham, Aditya, Vansh, Manish, Devika, and his Master Jeet.
Pshttttt!
A sharp sound echoed. All the energy within Shivansh’s body was absorbed by Sharv’s Master. In the end, his Spirit body shattered sorrowfully into fragments, and those fragments disappeared into the ground, as if he had never existed.
Shivansh left this world and existence without fulfilling his final wish. His last wish remained nothing more than a wish.
