Chapter 24
Twelve hours later. The shield around the dungeon was brought down. The agents advanced out looking tired and two of them with burn jackets.
Glenda started to fall but Titan caught her. He took out his bottle and brought it to her lips.
“Agent Young, can you check to see if we defeated the dungeon boss?” a man asked.
Titan looked up and into the dungeon. He didn’t sense the dungeon boss.
“You got him. I don’t sense his mind inside the dungeon. The dungeon is cleared.” Titan said.
Glenda sighed after finishing the bottle. She took out another bottle with blue liquid. She drank it down in one go.
“Titan. Please help me. I have to get you home. David. Lock down this dungeon and then I want all of you to write up your reports on what you found inside.” She said.
Titan helped her up. He looked at Glenda and she looked shaky. “Are you sure about taking me home? You look tired out.”
Glenda smiled at him. “I’m alright. You expended more energy than I did today. I need you to rest for several hours. Meet me at the office with your full report today on everything that happened. We’ll need to train again.”
“Okay. I will.” He said.
Glenda took his hands and they disappeared into white and gold flames.
……
Titan woke up sitting in his bed as he felt his mother come into his room.
Caroine had a large breakfast tray with her and she smiled at him. “You’re up. Good morning. You’re hungry?”
Titan smiled. “I am. I feel like I have been asleep for twenty hours.”
Caroline smiled and nodded. “Yep. Twenty hours. You’ve been working hard. Please tell me your not thinking of working today?” She said.
Titan chuckled. “No. I promised Glenda I would see her when I woke up and give her a report on what happened yesterday.”
Caroline stared at him. “Do you remember what happened?” She asked.
Titan nodded. “I remember everything. I wrote down a little of it before I went down to sleep. I spent most of that day talking to Glenda for a couple of hours while we were working.”
Titan grinned, picking up a sandwich and biting down on it.
Caroline’s mouth formed an “O” she said.
“Ah. I see. Of course. Talking with Glenda was the highlight of your day.”
Titan’s face flushed with heat as he grinned like a fool. “She likes sunsets and roses. She loves reading of course and funny sense of humor.”
Caroline sighed. “It happened so quick.” She said.
“What?” Titan asked.
“You’re all grown up. I’m proud of you.” Caroline said.
Titan stared at her. “Do you like her?”
Caroline smiled. “So your uncle told me that he saw that you and Glenda could talk to each other telepathically.”
Titan shrugged. “Yes. We just started that recently.”
“Don’t you find it strange how fast you’ve become linked to her mind. You barely know each other.”
Titan stared at her. “Mom. I wanted to get with her the moment I saw her. It’s not weird at all.”
Caroline stared at him. “I know your attracted to her. She’s beautiful and powerful. The closer you get into each other’s minds the more impossible it will be to be apart from each other. Your Psi.” She said.
“What are you really asking me?” Titan asked.
“She’s saying that Miss Glenda Sage set you up to fall in love with her.” Kristy said from the open doorway.
Titan stared at Caroline though. “I’m missing the part where I should be concerned about a beautiful woman being obsessed with me is a bad thing.” He said with a grin.
“What if she starts treating Mom and me like trash.” Kristy said in a low heated voice.
Titan stared at Caroline and grinned. “If she likes me then wouldn’t treat my family like trash. Loving me is loving my family.” He said.
Caroline smiled at him reaching forward and kissed his forehead. “I know she likes you and I know that you’re both connected. I just want you to be carefull. She set you up to become linked to her.”
Titan stared at her. “She's a one in a million kind of woman.” He said.
Kristy snorted. “Your so fucking stupid. She’s using you.”
Titan picked up a sandwich and started eating. “Why don’t you explain it to me Kiddo.” He said.
Kristy’s flushed in embarrassment. She stomped into his room in a purple night l

gown with purple bunnies on it.
“I've been doing some reading on Psi mind big brains. They are super rare and mage classes are obsessed with them and how their minds work.” Kristy said.
Titan grinned. “Big brain. You think I have a big brain. I like that.” He said.
“I'm not joking around. I don't trust her. I don't like her. She’s a scheming bitch.” Kristy said heatedly.
Titan smiled at her. “Your jealousy is showing little sister.” He said.
Kristy’s face flushed with heat as she pouted her lips tightly. “The only thing on your mind is her giant big mac fat ass. I'm not jealous. I am trying to protect you.” She said,
Titan, still smiling, nodded his head. “Okay. I'll be careful. Thank you for your concern.” He said calmly.
Kristy studied his face with narrowed eyes. “How did you meet her?” She asked.
Titan shrugged. “I needed a license so I can start dungeon crawling with Uncle Charlie and Dad’s friends. I looked a local government office that could give me a quick service.”
Kristy nodded her head slowly but her dark blue lavender eyes studied him. “Yeah. I looked up her website. It’s got a waiting list for ten years.”
Titan grinned. “I got lucky and there was a spot open.” He said.
“Glenda is a famous dungeon crawler as well as a powerful Sage. She usually only takes on clients that have connections with powerful figures.”
Titan again shrugged. “Not surprising really. Like I said, I got lucky enough to get into her training office.” He said with a grin.
“Did you get lucky or did somebody suggest you go to Glenda?” Caroline asked.
Titan chuckled and took a bite from another sandwich. He smiled.
Kristy nodded her head and started to pace the floor in a circle. “She must have been watching you. Whoever she hired tricked you into going to see her.”
Titan held up a hand. “Nobody tricked me into doing anything. A friend gave me advice and a number to call. The rest is history.” He said.
“Whoever gave you the number and set you up with Glenda isn’t your friend Titan.” Kristy said.
Titan shook his head. “I disagree. My best friend gave me the number. So I trust him and his advice. He wasn’t wrong at all.” He said.
“What the fuck? I know all your friends. They’re boring accountant nerds. None of them care about doing anything crazy like dungeon crawling.” Kristy said.
Titan was quiet as he ate. Both Caroline and Kristy studied him.
“A dead man’s switch?!” Caroline asked, looking at Titan’s face with a raised brow.
“A dead man’s switch?! What does that mean?” Kristy said.
Titan shook his head. “A dead man’s letter.” He said and finished off a beef sandwich before taking another from his breakfast tray.
Caroline stiffened and got up from the bed. “May I se this letter?” She said.
“I burned it.” Titan said.
Caroline stared at him with wide eyes. “You burned it. How could you burn it. Titan so easily.” She said.
Titan stared at her. “My friend told me to burn it so that’s what I did besides that fact I didn’t anymore.” He said.
“Mom. What the hell is going on? Who is this asshole that told Titan to meet that sage bitch.”
Titan stared at Caroline. “Dad left me a letter after his death for things he needed me to do.” He said.
Caroline stared at Titan in disappointment. “Titan. How could you just burn it?” She said,
Titan shrugged. “I could do it easily because Dad told me to burn it. Like I said. I already read it so I didn’t need it anymore.” He said.
Kristy grabbed his shirt sleeve. She looked at him. “Can you remember what was in the letter, Daddy gave you?”
Titan nodded. “Of course. I even remember what the letter smell like.” He said.
“He didn’t leave me anything. Can I have a copy of the letter.” She said.
Titan stared at her and pointed at himself. “Me.” He said.
“What?!” Kristy said in confusion.
“Dad left you, me. I’m going to pay for your college, I’m going to walk you down the alle on your wedding. I’m going to create a world without monsters for you.”
Krist blinked and she stared at Titan as he carefully put his breakfast tray aside.
“What?! No. I didn’t ask you to do all that. I just want a copy of the letter to have.” She said.
Titan leaned over and he gave her a kiss on the forehead. He smiled at her.
“I love you. You know that right.” Titan said.
Kristy stared at him as tears ran down her cheeks. “I just want something from him. I didn’t get anything.”
Titan started to open then frowned and sighed. “We’ll have to talk about this later. Close your eyes.” He said.
Kristy smiled. “Why are you going to kiss me again?”
“Close your eyes and ignore anything you hear.” He said.
Kristy’s heart started to race as she saw Titan’s weapon was in his hand glowing with a vibrant violet glow.
Kristy closed her eyes. Titan turned driving the Psi assassin S through his open window.
Time and space disappeared around them as they vanished in an instant. Both spun and around. They turned in a realm outside of normal space time.
Titan paid little attention to the strange realm of energy and moving beams of light. He knew they wouldn't be here for long.
When Titan blinked. They were back in normal space time he broke away from S. He realized they were falling down on Central City street.
Titan looked toward Central City far below him. He tried once and then twice blink his way to the street. He couldn't.
"Shit!" Titan cursed.
The crazy S laughed in emusement and victory.
“What the fuck are you going to do now Titan? Die. That’s what you'll do. You can''t blink step your way out of this one asshole or fly.” S said with a laugh before disappearing.
Titan felt fear rush up in his mind. He felt his heart racing as an idea came to him and dove for the ground racing down toward the ground falling face first. His hand tangled though as he remembered his weapon. He thought Glenda. He pictured her in his mind.
"Glenda!"
The world faded out of focus. He remembered her office. He knew she was waiting for him there. His mind locked on that building as it glowed brightly before his violet glowing eyes.

"LET'S GO!"
Titan laughed as he felt the feeling of the rush. He took hold of his Axiom Edge and sent it and sped up toward the ground. He raced to the image of Glenda's office building in his mind.
The Axiom Edge came alive in Titan's hand as Titan felt The Rush. His body became lighter and his speed incrased as he cut through the air like glowing violet arrow.
A few moments later, Titan stood in front of the office building of the government dungeon crawling licensing place. He stared at the building until the world finally came back into focus.
Titan opened the door and walked inside. The building was empty and then gold flames appeared behind the desk and a moment later Glenda stood staring at him.
“Hello.” Glenda said in a much more higher tone.
Titan smiled and then looked down at himself and grimaced. “Hey. Yeah. I came to train but I forgot to bring my report. I was in The Rush."
Glenda stared at him. “Yes. That's fine. You can bring it next time tomorrow. Do you need some training clothes?”
Titan nodded and walked toward her. Glenda waved her hand and his clothes were burned away in gold flames and replaced with a gold T-shirt and sweat pants.
“Thanks. Are you okay?” He asked seeing her sweating as she stared at him with wide eyes.
Glenda nodded her head. “I'm fine. Are you okay? You were falling.”
Titan nodded. “I was but I remembered I promised to meet you today. Once I remembered where the office was I came like I promised.” He said.
