Chapter 88: Ice-Cold Beauty

  Chapter 88: Ice-Cold Beauty

Yang Fei and Lin Yin were known as Meining University’s two most beautiful campus goddesses since its founding, and Yang Fei had even worked part-time as a fashion magazine model—a true goddess-level beauty.

But she and Zhang Yang shared an inescapable connection. It was because of their blind date that the Nuwa chip appeared out of nowhere, creating the Zhang Yang of today.

Who would’ve thought, after all this time, they’d cross paths again? The weird thing was—she must have a terrible impression of him. Yet she’d actually agreed to help him with English tutoring at Professor Zheng’s request. That made Zhang Yang uneasy. Was she planning some kind of prank?

It didn’t make sense. Every time they met this semester, something bad happened. Like the first time—her beloved car got smashed for no reason!

The second time, she caught him red-handed while he was blackmailing Lulu with a video and groping her boobs.

The third time, he was fighting with gangsters outside the school!

The only time that could be considered somewhat positive was when he met her at the hospital—but even then, Bai Gang and Bai Liangfeng had ruined it.

What the hell was this? Every time she appeared, something bad happened—to either of them. Was this what they called… fate clashing?

But the arrow was already on the string—he had no choice but to go.

For humanity, for Earth, for… well, Zhang Yang thought, even if it was just for money, he still had to go.

When he got to Meining University, he hesitated for a bit, then decided to find Yang Fei.

Yang Fei was only two centimeters shorter than Qiao Xier—about 1.73 meters—but she loved wearing high heels or heeled boots. So even though Zhang Yang was 1.81 meters tall, standing next to her still made him feel pressured, almost shorter than her.

Add to that her cold, flawless beauty—any average male creature would instinctively feel inferior at first glance. She was the very definition of “can be admired from afar, but not defiled.”

She was beautiful—too beautiful, to the point it felt unreal. People couldn’t help but revere her and keep their distance. That described women like her and Lin Yin perfectly.

Beauties of their level could only be approached by super-rich elites or heirs of major families. She had plenty of rumors but no actual boyfriend—not because no one liked her, but because no one could reach her. She was the kind of breathtaking beauty who made you too afraid to even breathe around her. Even upper-class young masters could only admire from afar.

Today, she wore a purple V-neck jumpsuit, her long, snow-white legs crossed elegantly. Over her shoulders was a black Korean-style blazer with white trim. Her long hair cascaded to her proud chest, and around her delicate neck hung an amethyst necklace. Just looking at her was enough to make one’s heart tremble.

She sat quietly in her seat, leaning slightly forward, her bright eyes fixed on the Apple computer screen. Her slender, pale fingers danced across the keyboard like she was playing a masterpiece.

Even when Zhang Yang stood right in front of her, she didn’t lift her eyelids once.

Just as Zhang Yang was considering coughing to get her attention, she finally raised her head. Her long lashes fluttered once as she gave him a brief glance, then looked down again. She pointed with her gaze at a small stool beside her and said indifferently, “Sit down for now.”

Zhang Yang checked the time and broke into a cold sweat. Sit down? It was already one o’clock! Professor Shangguan said they had to be at her house by two—he couldn’t show up late!

Noticing his distracted look, Yang Fei frowned slightly, glancing at him coolly. “It won’t take long.”

Zhang Yang didn’t dare argue. He obediently pulled up the stool and sat beside her.

Yang Fei had a faint, pleasant scent—something between perfume and natural fragrance. It lingered around his nose, making him feel strangely calm.

Her profile was stunning—the curve of her chest perfectly round and firm, with no hint of sagging. It was textbook-perfect. He couldn’t help but wonder what it would feel like to touch… though thinking that way felt far too sinful.

Her clothes were immaculate—not a wrinkle in sight except where she sat. Clearly, she paid extreme attention to detail, even in shopping.

After about ten minutes, Yang Fei crossed her long legs, pulled them back slightly, then closed her laptop.

“Alright, let’s go.” She locked the laptop in the drawer, grabbed her Gucci bag, stood up, and glanced at Zhang Yang.

“Mm.” Zhang Yang had noticed earlier—she’d been chatting with someone online, though he couldn’t tell what since it was all English gibberish.

Yang Fei walked ahead, wearing purple high heels that matched her outfit perfectly. The deep purple contrasted beautifully with her fair skin, making her complexion look even more radiant.

She wasn’t as tall as Qiao Xier, but her legs somehow looked longer. With the heels, her figure became even more striking—so perfect it could kill a man from behind.

Her car was still a BMW Z4, but the license plate was different—it was clearly a new one. Zhang Yang suddenly remembered what happened to her previous Z4. She must have a thing for that model.

She got into the driver’s seat and gave him a look, signaling for him to get in.

The Z4’s space felt tight for someone Zhang Yang’s size, which made the two seem even closer. A slight movement could easily make him brush against her arm—or somewhere else.

Unlike Qiao Xier’s aggressive driving, Yang Fei’s was calm and steady. She stayed silent at first, until they exited the Meining University campus. Then she suddenly spoke. “From Monday to Friday, I’m free between seven and nine in the evening. On weekends, from eight in the morning to three in the afternoon. During that time, you can…”

She paused for a second, then said, “You can come to my dorm.”

Zhang Yang froze, then quickly realized she meant for English tutoring. He didn’t mind being alone with such a gorgeous woman, but honestly, if possible, he’d rather spend fifty points to instantly learn an Advanced Foreign Language Technique.

“Any problem?” Yang Fei tilted her head slightly and looked at him.

“No, thank you, Teacher Yang.” Zhang Yang answered respectfully.

Yang Fei turned her head back and said coldly, “Among my senior students, you’re the only one who hasn’t passed the Level 4 English test. So don’t thank me. I’m only doing this out of shame.”

Zhang Yang wiped a bead of sweat. So his English was so bad it had become unbearable for her.

Still, he had to ask, “Teacher, about your dorm…”

Yang Fei lowered her eyes slightly. “South Building 3302.”

Zhang Yang nodded. So she lived near the Department of Journalism and Communication—plenty of single apartments there, nice environment too.

After about twenty minutes, they arrived at a quiet residential area. Zhang Yang looked around—Royal Court Mansion. Another rich-people neighborhood.

Her house was an independent villa inside the complex—not huge, but the yard was spacious, complete with a swimming pool. Five floors, in traditional Chinese style.

After parking in the garage, Yang Fei said before getting out, “Don’t talk nonsense.”

Zhang Yang scratched his head. She glanced at him again and added, “I mean… about that blind date.”

Zhang Yang smiled wryly. “If you hadn’t mentioned it, I’d have forgotten already.”

“Good.” Her expression softened slightly, apparently satisfied with his answer.

As they entered the first-floor hall, a middle-aged woman in her forties greeted them with a warm smile. “Second Miss, you’re back.”

Yang Fei nodded slightly and led Zhang Yang into the living room. Inside were two men—one with gray hair, a lean face, and a scar on his forehead. Despite his age, he sat upright, his eyes sharp as blades. He looked a lot like Yang Fei—he must be her grandfather, former Vice Minister of Health, Yang Shushan.

The other man, balding and wearing black-framed glasses, was likely Zhongshan Hospital’s Dean Wang.

“Grandpa, this is Zhang Yang.” Yang Fei gestured to him and introduced simply.
