Ch. 41 - Test Of Responsability

"It is last day of training, and that mean's it is time for an test." Julia declared in confidence, as Nata and Olivia watched from the sideline while sitting on plastic chairs, as Hiroshi was in his protective gear.

"And why are they here?" Hiroshi noted, pointing to the spectators, to which Nata took offense. "To make sure you don't die on us."

"I asked them to join." Julia made clear, letting him know fully it was her decision. "and with it, strip."

"...Wait, what?" Hiroshi asked on confusion, as Julia scoffed. "Your armor, you numpty."

"Oh, I guess that makes sense." he muttered, as he took the stuff off, but still questioned why didn't she say it earlier.

While he was mid strip, she sneakily pulled out a knife without them noticing. "Now, remember what I asked of you two." She said, as in their full view, she went to lick the knife, blade first, cutting her tongue and coating the blade in her blood.

Before they could ask what was going on, Julia threw the knife at Nata and Olivia, throwing everyone into distress.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Hiroshi shouted as he got his last gear off, before noticing she going for a punch on him, as he had barely any time to dodge the strike.

As Hiroshi went to defense while Julia went full offense, out of their view, Olivia felt her spirit leave her body while Nata tried to wake her up, as the knife hit between them, against the house's wooden wall.

Julia kept pressure on him as he was trying to process what was going on while trying his hardest to dodge.

"Reminder..." Julia spoke between swings. "My blood..." as she gave a smug smile. "Will kill." Reminding him the outcome if she hit them, but not giving enough time to check or reassure, pushing his pressure and emotions to their limit, and as Julia wished, Hiroshi snapped.

With a powerful hood, she got a proper blow onto his cheek, making him stammer onto the ground, leaving Julia mildly disappointed, with him being left on his knees contemplating on what she had done, before taking note the red painting the grass underneath him.

Putting his hand underneath his mouth, he felt taps of warm liquid drop onto it, and as he looked what it was, as predicted, blood. flowing from his inside cheek that got cut against his teeth.

Seeing it, and contemplating on possible risk the fosters would be in, not only brought back the moment five years ago, but also letting his instincts take control in order to guard those close to him.

As Julia took note of Hiroshi getting up, she finally gave a proper smile as Hiroshi turned, she could see his eyes having undilated in response to heightened senses for his protection.

"Now let's see what monster you have been hiding." She said, as she got ready to fight with everything he had to offer, while on the sideline, as Olivia was slowly awakening from being scared half-dead from her strike, Nata couldn't help but keep her eyes away from what was going on, and seeing Hiroshi's stance and expressions be completely different from what she was used to.

With a lunge and going offensive, Julia didn't have issue dodging it, however, she didn't account for him to use his feet, as on the same momentum, he swept her foot, causing her to lose a balance for couple seconds, giving him enough time to turn around and return the blow that send him on the wild state.

Quickly dodging the next strike, she got onto the moment, starting to take the fight more seriously as well, as they kept moving and sharing blows, as Nata and Olivia were left flabbergasted on the sideline. Olivia too scared to speak up, and only able to watch, while Nata wanted the fight to stop, but she didn't want to get in trouble with Julia, as she made a agreement with her.

As it looked like the balance of power kept switching between the two, things quickly took turn to the worse as when Julia thought Hiroshi was open and going for a strike, she didn't account for him to tackle her onto the ground, and before she could get control, his hands gripped her throat firmly, as she felt the thumbs dig into her throat, slowly making blood spill and only keeping on going deeper.

Julia tried to speak, but the lack of air didn't help, as she kept on trying to shout words one by other, it took Nata a moment to realize, and hopping into action, she shouted out "HIRO! WE ARE SAFE! SHE DIDN'T HIT US!"

In his delirium, trying to understand the words while checking where the sound came from, seeing her slowly started to make him get control of himself, as his breathing got raspy and heavy, as he looked at Julia, to which he had his thumb's deep up to the joint in her neck, as she was giving a light chuckle. Slowly realizing what he was doing, in panic he started to panic as he took his hands off her and falling on his rear by her feet, as his mind started to get flooded with information.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry..." he started to mutter, as his mind slowly started to process what had happened, and realizing he could have killed her, if she wasn't a zombie. "Not my fault, not my fault, not my fault..."

Nata noticing he was still in distress proceeded to rush to him, as Julia calmly got up and tried ease her neck, but to her annoyance it seems he cut deep enough for make her mute for a short moment, and with sharp look at Olivia, she immediately understood and rushed in to get bandages.

Nata got in front of Hiroshi and firmly gripped his cheeks, as he was having hard time keeping steady breathing. "We are safe, you did well. Take it calm, take breaths." as she showed with exaggeration of slow breathing, and with some struggle, Hiroshi slowly started to follow her example, before laying down on the grass.

Nata kept trying to comfort him from the side, almost starting to tear up from having to deal with him in such worry, but she slowly got comforted to a stop, as Hiroshi looked at her with a light smile.

Putting hand on her head and giving a light pat, he gently whispered "Thank you, could you go get me a glass of water?"

She gave a quick nod and in a rush, she ran inside as he was left laying on the grass, under Julia's judgement.

She couldn't say a word, but he could already guess what she would say. "I did bad, didn't I?"

Julia calmly shook her head as she tried to keep the blood leaking minimal as possible, and tried to speak, giving Hiroshi a chance to read her lips.

"Lo... Lost?" nod, "O... ko... con... Control?" and other nod, to which hiroshi was left to consider her words. "Yeah... I lost control... Instincts kicked in."

"A... ha... harn? Harness?" He got what she was getting at. "I guess it would be useful, but you saw what state I was left at."

Julia rolled her eyes, as she picked him by his shirt collar, and after dusting some dirt off him, gave a light punch on his shoulder, before the worrying girls came in a hurry, stumbling at last moments.

As Olivia quickly got up and handed over bandages, which Julia rolled around her neck, Nata looked sadly as the mug of water was lost to the soil "Noooo." she groaned in sadness, which Hiroshi couldn't help but lightly laugh at.

"No need to get depressed over it, I feel better already without it." He gently eased her mind, as he helped her up. "We shouldn't be troubling ourselves too much anyways. We should start packing up, and afterwards I will be making salmon soup, how does that sound?"

Through the sniffles, Nata agreed to it, as making sure everyone was fine, they headed inside to recover and get ready for their vacation.

"Madam Eiko, I am happy to announce that the new single has reached top ten." Manager came in to her room, with a wide smile, with look of a man who enjoys to swim in his money.

"That's expected, people eat up anything new." she said calmly, as she was getting her pink hair done by a hairdresser. "I hope you came here for more than empty words."

"Absolutely, seems Mister Yun has cancelled your next tour-"

"HE DID WHAT!?" She shouted up a storm, taking the hairdresser and manager by surprise. "That's what i said as well when I-"

"TAKE ME TO HIM, NOW!!!" She said with stern voice, as she cancelled the hairdressing for now, as she took her bag, giving full view of her luxurious outfitting, in style and cost.

"Immediatly." Manager said, as he took lead as with a rush, they came to the streets of Harumitsu, before quickly getting into the car. Manager taking the shotgun seat and Eiko took backseat.

"To Yun, in haste." Manager shouted at the private driver, as with taking the streets, the rush was on.

"First having to deal with anniversary stuff, and now disrupting my business. Oh, that old man is gonna go deaf tonight." she said in anger, as she tried to look on social media and her messages just in case things didn't get further than word of mouth between them.

It took couple minutes of reckless driving, before stopping in front of a sky-rise of Yundustries Inc, as in a rush to get through, any passersby or people who may recognize her, got shoved away by the manager, and before long, entering the elevator and arriving at top floor, she was quick to rush and kick through the door, to see Yun calmly looking outside the window to the streets below in his luxurious business suite, and on the rich leather sofa was red skinned Oni Tomomi, in her usual sleevless shirt, baggy pants and bandana on her forehead.

"What's the big idea!" Eiko came shouting in, as neither of them flinched at her outburst.

"Cool it, brat." Tomomi spoke up, clearly not happy to see the spoiled child come in. "These are huge news."

"What news?" Eiko muttered, still not happy on the ordeal, before shortly Yun cleared his throat, getting both of their attentions. "There might be conflict in power to be happening soon."

"Come on, stop using cryptic words and say it straight." Eiko groaned out in annoyance.

"Hiroshi Yasuda is returning home." Which took her by surprise, only to be followed by "And seems he has brought support."

"That little Hiro is coming back?!" She said, clearly trying to process that fact, and to the red ogre's surprise, she started to cheer. "Oh, what wonderful news!"

Yun quickly turned in annoyance at her display, body and suit speaking to many ages past him, but many still left in him, as he slammed his fist on his work desk. "Stop your insolence! This is threat to our family's order."

Eiko calmly walked closer, clearly enjoying his anger. "You and your old ways. Instead of spiting him, he would have made excellent successor, but instead you have to be emotionally stuck with that oaf brother of mine that is already six feet under."

"ENOUGH!" Yun spoke in clear manner, not liking the trouble she is bringing in already. "My word goes, no matter you like it or not. And my word today is, you will be holding a concert in ōnosai, during Tanabata."

She crossed her arms with a light huff. "If you had plans on moving it than cancelling it, you should have informed my manager on that better."

"I informed him as much as I needed." Yun made clear, as with doors closed to the office, "I wanted to hold a meeting, to make sure we all understand what is to come, and what will happen. This summer, Hiroshi will be dead."

"And that should be all." Hiroshi said, as he finished with last bag, and checking on how the girls were doing.

While Julia and Olivia didn't have issues, it was clear Nata wasn't exactly used to organizing, so with light sigh, he went to help her put clothes and necessities in a way so that they fit in the bag.

As plans on how the day is to move onward from that night to tomorrow, the old threads have slowly started to unwind, and soon, Hiroshi's past will be a trigger to events that none of them could have suspected.
