After finishing his swordsmanship training with General Crest, Master and I were walking to his lunch date with Princess Sarah. However, feeling his mana strain from the walking and remembering the difficulty he had with his Mana Blade, Master's back seemed smaller to me. Like someone who was carrying a heavy load and unnecessarily burdening himself. Master spoke to me, he started the conversation after noticing my worry. He then proceeded to ask me to always be honest with him. A serious blow was made when he said. " I value your opinion" to me. Something my Family never for a second considered, before sending me off to be a terrible Maid.

  " !"

  But the finishing touch was when he mentioned how he wanted to protect me and how he viewed this barely competent Maid as worthy of protection. I still find my face going flush whenever I think about what he said. I felt it and I knew at that moment that I fell in love with Master. Once the realization struck me. All I could do was weakly call out to him. My Master, showing his kindness to me, waited patiently for me to calm down before heading to Princess Sarah. As we walked, I couldn't help but stare at Master as we walked. Even the eyes on my limbs were following his movement... It's so embarrassing! But I don't want to stop. When Princess Sarah saw my face, she must have sensed it. mumbling to herself like Aqua, she asked Master to sit. While Master proceeded to sit down, Princess Sarah whispered to me.

  " We shall talk about this later Anna. Don't be afraid, I'm not angry."

  Her eyes told a different story though. Lunch went on without much of an issue. I then followed Master and Princess Sarah to a calm section of the inner castle field. Master began to meditate, once he had entered a trance Princess Sarah turned to me and spoke.

  " You love John, don't you?"

  " No, Your Highness! I would never steal him from you!"

  Not being able to tell what emotions she was feeling I told her the truth.. I mean... Why would I try to steal Master from her? I just want to be by his side, so I can help him as his Exclusive Maid. That should be enough for someone like me... Perhaps sensing the panic in my mind, Princess Sarah spoke to me to try and break the grip that my thoughts had on me.

  " Relax Anna. As I said before I am not angry with you. How could I be? the only thing you are guilty of is being a victim of John's personality, just as I am."

  Princess Sarah began to try to calm me. After calming down I began to speak.

  " Princess Sarah, I have fallen for John as well. I'm sorry."

  " Don't be Anna, also call me Sarah!"

  " As you command, Sarah."

  Responding to her request, Sarah looked at John and then back at me.

  " Anna, allow me to speak frankly with you. You see, I've no doubt you may think my actions of immediately engaging myself to John as strange, but allow me to share what I know with you."

  Sarah began to recount her time in John's memories. From his time with his birth parents to that terrible accident. Life with a childhood friend to being humiliated in public by the one he trusted most. An argument in a cabin. So much to process, by the end I was in tears for Master.

  " Good. You pass Anna!"

  " Why is this good? Master... He... How can he be so kind still?"

  " I believe it to be part of his nature and the other part being a habit since his parent's death. As I told you when I arrived in his memories, I was able to interact with him and he remembered me in subsequent memories. But he did not remember any of it when I awoke. So, the words I said to him after pulling him from the wreck did not reach him."

  I nodded along, understanding what was being told to me.

  " I believe that night, made My Love a victim of " Survivors Guilt" I spoke to my Parents about it and they already planned to slowly remove those kinds of habits of his one by one during these 3 months."

  Sarah and I both looked at Master while she spoke, he seemed so peaceful.

  " Moving Forward, Anna. Those 4 cowards and that pig are the hero and his party."

  "WHAT!?"

  Sarah was surprised at my outburst, perhaps not expecting me to be so loud. After calming myself for fear of disturbing Master's meditation. I continued to listen to Sarah.

  " With them being here on Gaia, it complicates matters. Simply put, I need people around John I can trust. Anna! I will be his First Wife, make no mistake about it. I've staked my claim, and I will have what is mine. I will be the Number 1 Person in his heart."

  Sarah looked North towards Promethia with a look containing hate and bloodlust. After remembering I was there, Sarah turned to me and said the following.

  " Having said all of that, Diablos allows Polygamy. So as long as you swear to follow that one rule. I will take you as an Ally and help you become John's Wife as well!"

  As the words left her lips, I saw a future of Myself, with John and children. The Atmosphere was so sweet. Sarah extended her hand to me. Before I even realized it, my hand was locked in Sarah's. She proceeded to speak to me.

  " Good. Now for some of the finer details. You see, I am going to join John in his repelling of the Hero Party in 3 months' time. I'd like your help as a member of a party with myself and John."

  " Am I even worthy, Sarah? To be in a party with you and John?"

  " I've already looked over your files, Anna. Not only are you worthy, but I was also looking for a way to have you join us regardless of your answer today. As you know, John is a Paladin and I am a Magic Spearman. We are both all-rounders who can be forces in the backrow. However, we truly excel when fighting on the frontline, combining all of our Skills to crush the enemy completely. To do that, we need someone to entrust our backs to someone. Someone like a Druid with a Contract to the Nature Goddess."

  Sarah looked at me as if she knew all about me. I responded to her statement with a sense of calmness though."

  " But I wasn't good enough to be a Scout, Sarah."

  " Yes, you were ill fitted to be a Scout. But as a Support to a Paladin and Magic Spearman? While we attack and are attacked, you can use your Magic to bind enemies. If we face a particularly tough opponent, we can distract it, for you to strike with a bolt of lightning, who's power can rival My Mother's Spells. When we are injured in battle, you can heal us without us expending our reserves to continue fighting. After a battle, you can summon fruit trees and vegetables to fill our stomachs. The list goes on Anna."

  As I was reeling from how deep she thought about this. Sarah landed the final blow.

  " At the end of the day Anna do you wish to support him? And if so, do you think it would be better as a Maid, ordered to fight or as his Wife who will follow him to battle? Are you simply a Maid who was a warrior? Or are you a Warrior or happens to be a Maid? Will you sit and hope good fortune will fall into your hands? Or will you use all your strength to grasp it tight and never let it go like I have and countless Demon Women have before us!?"

  As she spoke, I saw that vision of John and the children again. I looked at John meditating, he's working so hard. There will be a time where he will wear himself out. But I will be the one to put him back on his feet! I look at Sarah and with great strength, I answer her.

  " I will be by his side, Sarah! Not just as a Maid but as a Woman, a Wife and a Mother to his Children!"

  As I answered, Sarah smiled at me.

  " You're already thinking of bearing him Children? Your quite lewd aren't you, Anna? Perhaps your thinking of returning to being his Maid in the bedroom? A cunning tactic indeed!"

  Embarrassed from her wording, I couldn't reply. Thankfully, Master awoke and was very ecstatic. Seeing it as an opportunity to change the subject, I suggested Summoning his new Spirit. Sarah seeming to be genuinely curious, asked as well. And then Paula was Summoned and introduced herself.

  " Hello I am Paula Darkwing! I am a Dark Pixie! I may be inexperienced, but John sees value in the useless me! So please treat me kindly."

  For a brief moment I saw the same look Sarah's eyes had from Paula's blue eyes. Sarah must have seen it in my eyes as well seeing as how she looked at me. We introduced ourselves to Paula and then took her from John to have a private conversation. John went back to meditating. Once we were sure he was in a trance, we began the interrogation. Pulling some cookies out of my Magic Storage I offered them to Paula.

  " Here Paula, please have some of these cookies, I baked them fresh today in the morning!"

  "Thank you?"

  Paula, not noticing I was lowering her guard, was asked by Sarah the question we needed to know.

  " Say Paula. How do you feel about John?

  " How do I feel about John?"

  "Yes, don't worry I simply am curious, only my Grandmother is a Summoner, but she never spoke about her Summons before, you see. So, I've always been curious about Fairykin. And seeing as how John chose you, I wonder how you feel about him."

  " Well, I can't speak for other Fairies, but as for myself, John saw value in this low status Dark Pixie and wished for me to become his Friend as well as his first Contracted Spirit. His mana felt nice and warm like hot soup on a cold day. I'm just very happy and count myself lucky that someone like John wishes to be my Friend and Summoner."

  At her answer, all I felt was how pure she was... Now that I look, she is as cute as the dolls I see in shops for young girls. Sarah and I look at each other and Sarah proposed to form an Alliance with us to Paula. For protecting and supporting John. Paula agreed to join it. After some more conversation with Paula, it was time for the next class for Master, so we headed to the field where King Warrick waited.

  At first everything seemed to be fine, but Master surprised me, as he kept rising to his feet. Only to be struck down by Warrick. Still, Master continued to show progress, but after a few hours, Warrick called for Master to take a break and for Sarah to spar him

  " !"

  As Master's maid it was my duty to provide first aid. Without even thinking about John having his own healing spells, I began to treat him. His stomach was lean but muscular and felt warm to the touch. I realized that a good amount of my eyes were taking in every inch of his torso... He's beginning to develop muscles all over the place even though today is his first day of lessons... I wonder how that's possible? It must be from being a Paladin, right? As I was lost in thought about his abdomen and chest, John took my silence as embarrassment. I did my best to clear that thought from his head. I can give up many things, but this Privilege of mine! No! I will fight who ever to continue to have it!

  / Clang! Clang!/

  After treating John, we watched Sarah and King Warrick spar for an hour or 2. It could have been longer, but I wouldn't be able to tell as I was able to stare at Master for hours with my extra eyes. After King Warrick said the training was done, Sarah asked to spar as a team with John. After thinking for a moment, King Warrick left it up to Master to decide. Master looked at Sarah and agreed to spar. After the strikes to Sarah and Master, King Warrick reprimanded Sarah for her impatience. What came after though was something unexpected.

  / Sniff./

  The King spoke to Master from his heart about his concerns for him. Master searched his memories for something. He began mumbling about the crash Sarah told me about. I'll never forget the look on Master's face as he mumbled. " It should've been me." Granted he didn't get to finish his thought, as Sarah tackled him to floor before he could mouth those heartbreaking words. Seeing that, I also went to Master's side with tears running down my eyes. I took Master's hand so he would know that I was there. He asked us if it was ok to be selfish. He looked like a child who was asking permission to do something. It didn't take long for all 3 of us to shout " Yes!" to him. The smile he showed after our reassurance is burned into all 100 of my eyes. I'm not quite sure what the future has in store for my Master. All I know for sure is that I will be by his side as his Exclusive Maid till my dying breath... No not just that but his Wife as well! And to make sure I'm not left behind by Master, I know what I must do!
