The man sat confused and silent staring at the phone. The girl’s voice said, “Hello? This is Stupid, correct? Hello?” Another few seconds of total silence passed. The girl then asked, “Are you going to respond or not? The heavy breathing on the other line is getting creepy…”
Swallowing the lump in his throat the man spoke in a barely audible tone saying, “Yes this is stupid. What is this, a prank or something?
The girls asked, “If this is who you claim it is, then what color is your essence?”
The man looked around the still office as if looking for a reasonable answer to the lady’s weird question. Finally saying, “Um, I’m sorry. I have no idea what you are asking…”
The lady spoke in a clearly serious tone as she said, “We few that bleed blue. What color is your life essence?”
The man’s posture relaxed as he softly chuckled to himself. That’s a relief he thought, the crazy girls given me a way out of her delusion. He responded confidently saying, “You must have the wrong person miss, I bleed red, not blue.” He was still smiling as the other line was silent for a moment.
The female asked, “Are you sure?”
Wearing his confusion on his face he asked, “What does that mean? You think I’ve never bled before? Of course I’m sure!”
The female asked bluntly, “has it been a long time since you bled? Have you played it safe your whole life? Have you avoided conflict at all costs? Have you had trouble establishing meaningful relationships? Are you even close to the people that raised you? Please Stupid, I need you to tell me of your life essence?”
The man stood there, offended by the girl’s observations, even if they were correct. Giving way to his anger ever so slightly he said, “This prank has gone too far young lady. You need to give this up before I call the cops. Stop calling me!” He ended the call. Giving it a moment before he breathed a sigh of relief. The phones stayed silent, it seemed the calls were finally over.

Turning around, he screamed, “Oh shit!” before falling backwards in a panic. The he followed up with, “W-who the hell are you!?! C-can’t you s-see we’re closed until Monday?!?”
The figure stepped from the shadows; it was some high school girl. Really quite attractive even if she had weird hair. Still on the ground he thought, what do you even call that color? Uranium glow green perhaps? Realizing he was still lying on the floor sprawled out on things he’d knocked over, he scrambled to his feet. Dusting himself off as the young lady paid him no mind whatsoever. Taking the opportunity, he gave her a quick up-down, noting her black stockings, black skirt, and pink shirt with a single word on it. The shirt said Chaos. She was very pretty if not a little odd looking.
The girl asked her questions without showing the man any attention. She asked, “What color is your life essence?”
The man rolled his eyes saying, “Oh it’s you… I already told you, red! Also, why did you call me if you were already inside the building? Are you trying to come across as a real creep?”
The girl asked, “Are you sure Stupid? It’s incredibly important.”
The man shouted at her, feeling frustrated as hell by this tiny girl, “Stop calling me Stupid!”
The girl asked, “Why wouldn’t I call you by your name? You said your mom named you Stupid, and when I asked if you were Stupid, you said yes.”
The man shouted excitedly, “Ah-ha! I knew it! You were here when the calls started, that’s how you hacked the system! You were on the inside all along!”
The female finally turned her attention to the man. This made the guy instantly feel nervous. She said, “I need an answer, and this is too important to take this much time.” She produced a small dagger and began approaching the man with a determined look in her eyes.
On the inside the man panicked, looking around for an escape he found himself cornered in his cubicle. He thought, goddammit I knew this cubicle would be the death of me… I just didn’t picture it like this… the man backed against the wall yelling at the girl, “Stay back! I’m warning you!” His threats fell on deaf ears though. This was it he thought, I’m going to die here.
