In the pitch darkness, nothingness seems to be the end of everything, the voice echoes with depth and despair. The voice says," I am Kairo, the one who should be dead and not to be existed in this accursed world, where humans aren't like humans anymore."

In the facilities of HEX foundation, there is something that no one wanted to see. The humans were experimented so as they can achieve the evolution. The humans are experiment with changes and the result of those experiments was us, HEPEs. I am HEPE 376 Kairo and I was created to be called a perfect being but in reality I was nothing but a piece of trash who was experimented by these scientist for 10 years and still didn't get any conclusion. At the end, what will happen to this lab rat at all when the experiment was failed? I died but not yet.
At present, the world seems to be change bit-by-bit and the humans who once dependent on nature are now seems to be reappearing as enemy of nature. The greed of humans is inextinguishable. The world is changed to a new ways but the humans who should respect the nature are now destroying it. It is the time where the evolution which is a dynamic thing is now changing into an abstract and the humans are using it as the way of becoming supreme. The world seems to be destroying, the dense forests are cut to deserts and the growth of infrastructure is becoming into a dangerous results of human misdeeds. But it is not the thing which I suffered. It is the growing world is trying to defy nature itself.
I was taken to HEX foundation for some test of my cancer. At that time, I use to be work as a radiologist and my main job is to check the nuclear power plant of the city. Some researchers of HEX foundation came for a research tour. But on that day, there was a tragedy in the power plant and the main radiator got overloaded.
The alarms were ringing and the red lights blinking the entire hallway to control room. Everyone was panicking and make hard for me to go to main hazard location to stop the radiator. The people were guided by the senior executor Roy but how much he can handle. With his help, I was able to enter in main hazard and the next thing I hear was the screams of people in the stampede and sirens of alarms which seem like the cover up for the screams of dying people.
The main radiator was damaged and the only way to stop this is reactor trip. It just needed to start whenever there is any emergency like this and it is an automatic system so it should be started way back but it doesn't started. When I came into the control center and check the workings, I found out that the reactor trip is already working and there is no way it can be fail. The neutron absorbing control rod which is most important element of this system is missing. the chief scientist once tell me that whenever there is any problem in radiator then this system is started but at present it feels like someone intentionally removed the rod and he wanted us to suffer in this radiation pressure cooker.

Then I recalled my memory and rushed back to the corridor. I saw the peoples were trying to open all the emergency doors and it seems like someone had close them from outside. The chief scientist once tells me about the way to survive in condition of emergency. I thought that chief scientist know that in future this could happen so he planned everything before his death. The radiator is almost overloaded. People were trying to open the emergency door but it was locked. Senior Roy was trying to guide the people but when everyone came to know that the emergency exit door wasn't opening then it take no time to become a big stampede and I was also stuck in this stampede. Everyone is trying and this led the doors got break and fall and everyone seems to run for their life but it was too late.
There were only a bright flash of light which engulf the whole nuclear plant and then a high pitch sound that tears down eardrums of people the only thing which was left is that the dying me on the ground. It thought that it is my end and I was correct and not correct at the same time. The rescuers appear in the blast facility and somehow all the people working in the power plant were dead except for one. There were 132 dead and shockingly there was one guy who seems to be dead but survived the blast. I was completely burned from head to toe, my skin was melted and eardrums were imploded. The more severe thing is the radiation in my body. Due to this radiation, the overall cell division inside my body was extremely increased. I was alive and dead at the same time as if my body was dead but my cells denied to be considered dead and then a miracle happened.
The person who is dead and rescuers take him on the stretcher, suddenly a rescuer touches his arm and the impulse was felt. The rescuer found out that he survived the nuclear blast and still alive and dead at the same time. They take me to the chief rescue staff, which shocked to see this miracle and report about me to the hell I was about to go, HEX foundation. Then I shifted to HEX foundation and they show me to their Chief Researcher, john ern. He tags me as 376 and now this is the point where my life becomes hell. Different experiment was done on my body. In those times, I felt like someone was trying to take me back to death but I was taken back to life by my body. This is becoming living Hell where I was taken into the cycle of life and death.
After around 10 years, my body is remained as a stock of dead matter which is trying to come back to live. I don’t know what happened to me but I felt calmness as death and now nobody is trying to take me back to live. After take thousands of rounds of life and death, it feels quite peace like heaven but this is not end. There weren't any end; this was a new beginning not as me but as Kairo. I was in a new body not mine but some who deserves to live and have power to save everyone. He was a young teenager named, Ken.
Kairo ends his narration and the darkness fades with the feeling of despair. The place is laminated with a star of hope and Kairo says," You are the final hope for HEPEs like us. The only hope left. "
Ken opens his eyes with jolt and wake up from his bed. The light coming from the window illuminates the room. Ken picks up his water bottle and drinks water as he feels tired. Then he goes back to sleep. But the water bottle was dented from his hand's grip.
